Su Tang, was a bit flabbergasted, this was what a workaholic looked like, right? She cut in, "What's your hurry? Just wait for now."
Su Tang took out two small jars that contained two sauces made from chili peppers that she had prepared beforehand and began to make the base for the soup. She was planning to make Hot and Sour Grilled Fish for Luo Xingchen, it was a dish with a taste that Su Tang herself had liked very much in her previous life.
It shouldn't be particularly spicy because she was using tomatoes to offset the chili peppers and create the sour and hot flavor in the soup base. All she needed to do was grill the fish until it was roughly medium well and, while she was doing that, she would properly prepare the soup and put it into the small iron pot. After that, it was just a matter of putting the soup on the stove and adding the diced potatoes, cabbage, fresh mushrooms, and then finally the grilled fish. Finally, she would simmer the whole thing until perfection.
Soon Su Tang had set the iron pot on the small stove. She watched from the side as the broth began to bubble, gurgle, and release a unique and appetizing aroma. Meanwhile, she carefully grilled the fish until it was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, wiping away the drops of sweat that accumulated on her forehead as she did so.
When it came to this dish, the chef's skills with grilling fish were responsible for half of the outcome, and the ingredients used for the soup base made up the other half.
In fact, this was the first time Su Tang had tried her hand at making this dish after coming to this era, so when she finally finished she couldn't help but smile. Then she said, "It might be a bit too spicy, but the essence is there."

Luo Xingchen didn't insist, and just sent one of her attendants to order a bowl of rice from a nearby restaurant. Soon, the attendant returned with the rice, and by that time the pot had been simmering for a while and the room was full of its sweet and appetizing scent.
At any rate, all of the attendants had already retreated outside, so there was no one else here except Su Tang and Luo Xingchen, so she didn't worry about her dignity and directly pulled a small bench over so she could sit in front of the fire. She deftly scooped up a mouthful of fish and ate it with the rice.

From there, Su Tang watched as Luo Xingchen couldn't help but eat one mouthful after another despite sticking out her tongue in protest to the heat. She quickly polished off half of the fish and the entire bowl of rice, then she gulped down the vegetables remaining in her bowl in two big bites. Finished eating, she blushed and wiped away the sweat that dotted her brow before saying, "How amazing!"
"Is it very good?" Su Tang asked despite knowing the answer.
Luo Xingchen nodded, "What is this? It tastes so strange, but every time I take a bite I can't wait to take another, also, how did you come up with the idea to prepare fish like this? The fish is crisp on the outside but and tender inside, while the soup is both hot and sweet. That should be the taste of the tomato? Whatever it is, it's really delicious."
"Mhm, it's good, isn't it? I want to open a restaurant after the Chinese New Year and sell this Hot and Sour Grilled Fish, what do you think?"
