Su Tang felt like she probably had enough margin to defend herself if it really came down to it, so she could go and see if what Pengmo had said was true. If it was true, then she would certainly try her best to help, and if it was a lie, she could use her space to escape.

Anyway, since Pengmo was gone, Su Tang tugged Su Nuo behind her while saying, "Let's go and buy some delicious foods. Tomorrow we will celebrate the festival together."

Su Nuo nodded and then glanced in the direction where Pengmo had left, "Sister, who was he?"

"For now, it seems that he may be a decent man, but that's not necessarily the case. Maybe he will turn out to be a bad guy." Su Tang answered absently when she heard her brother's question.

"Is he a bad guy who wants to bully my sister? I won't let him!" Su Nuo opened his eyes wide.

Her little brother's protectiveness made Su Tang laugh. "Well, you don't have to worry that your sister will be bullied, because your sister is very strong."

Su Nuo thought for a moment, "That seems to be true!"

Su Tang was now sure that her image inside her brother's heart wasn't actually a very positive one. How could she restore her broken image though? This was really a problem.

After another stroll through town, Su Tang bought various things with her brother before they both returned to Sujia Village.

At the same time, Pengmo also headed back and met with Pei Xuan. "Master, I've gone and retrieved the clothes."

Pei Xuan had been waiting for Pengmo ever since the other man left. So when he saw that he had finally come back, he quickly sat down and took a look at the clothes he had brought with him.

The sapphire blue robe had embroidered patterns that used red and white thread on both the shoulders and the neckline. The patterns seemed very interesting at first glance because they were in a style that Pei Xuan had never seen before.

He reached out and ran a finger over the solid stitching thoughtfully. Then he snorted and said, "How ugly!"

Pengmo immediately looked up when he heard that. A bit indignantly, he took a close look at the clothes that he had brought back before declaring: "I think they look good!"

"Is that your call or mine?" When he heard Pengmo's objection, the young man gave him a hard stare.

"Well... that should be your call, young master." Pengmo was quickly oppressed because of his identity. But then he said, "However, the reality is that Miss Tang did a good job, even if her embroidery is a little poor."

"You..." Pei Xuan glared at Pengmo.

Pengmo covered his mouth thoughtfully and said, "Would you like to try on the clothes, young master?"

Pengmo felt that it was quite a pity. That Miss Tang had made these clothes with all of her heart, and the results were very good-looking, but unfortunately, the young master from their family was not an ordinary person. He was used to wearing clothes made by the skilled craftsmen who worked in the palace. Now it seemed that he didn't like Miss Tang's craftsmanship, so the clothes she made would probably just be kept away.

"Try!" While Pengmo was busy thinking about what to do with the clothes if this little ancestor didn't want them, he suddenly heard the young man who had seemed disgusted with the clothes just a moment ago open his mouth and say he wanted to try them on.

"Ah?" Pengmo felt very confused. Didn't he think they were ugly? Did he want to wear something ugly?

The young man's tone was very dissatisfied as he said, "What are you looking at? Give me the clothes, I'll try them on!" After saying that, he saw that Pengmo looked surprised so he hummed, "If my clothes weren't getting to be too small for me, I wouldn't wear such ugly clothes."

Pengmo hurriedly stepped forward to help the young man try on the new clothes. The young man ran his fingers over the Baoxiang embroidery pattern that was on the neckline of the robe and snorted again. She had asked him for an extra tael of silver for such shoddy embroidery, she was really a little money-grubber.

"If you don't like it, young master, let's ask around and find if there are any other skilled embroiderers in this town..." Before he finished speaking, the young man huffed and then glared at him before walking away wearing his new clothes.

Pengmo touched his chin and looked at the other set of clothes left behind. He wasn't sure whether the young master liked the clothes or not, so he didn't know what to do with them. Did he dislike them for being too ugly, or not?

While Pengmo was standing there with question marks floating above his head, the young man who had just left suddenly walked back in. He looked at the remaining white robe and said. "It's so ugly. Put it away, so that I won't be embarrassed."
