Dancing Light

Otherworldly light,
Dancing at midnight,
Amazing my mind,
But smothering my body.

Cannot control the electric--
Dancing in the city sky,
Chainless yet trapped,
With eons of endless 'n empty cries.

Glows illuminate the darkness,
Above the cotton clouds,
Sleeping without a lullaby,
And singing without a lie.

The electric--
Restless,
Carefree,
Trapped,
And crying.
Left to hope,
Until the sun is rising.
