Depression

The feeling of the blue,
It's melody soft and painful.
The feeling each one person gets,
For whatever reason or purpose that's invoked this curse--
The curse of the blues.

A cold night of reflection and intense respiration.
It leaves you sunken,
In the shallow waters with no ground.

A night in which one cries and wishes to die.
In which one huddles in the corner,
With sorrow and grief for whatever reason they have.

This feeling, though,
Gives us a reason.
A reason to love and cheer others up,
who've been in our path?

We learn from that sorrow.
The one we call pain,
The one others call depression,
A puddle of icky dark rain.

It envelopes the mind
To the back of their skull.
We can't push it in,
We must take it all out.

In order to understand and comprehend for the future
In order to control what we see deep inside
In order to avoid the thoughts of death and the cold fingers of everyone's old friend,
Depression.
The one who sings so blue.
