The Eyes

Cold air feasting on my skin,

Eyes reflecting pasts within,

Silence fills my sensitive ears,

My heart pounds twice like a mighty hammer.

The choir starts to sing even louder,

The atmosphere is killing my power.

A strict creature begins to smile,

As my heart beats even louder.

The light drowns into the dark,

Tick tick, my time goes to pass.

Click click, they all began,

To wait for me and eat the silence.

I am beginning to feel so silent.

Middle of the stage with my hair on fire.

My throat full of cotton flowers,

Pushing down like a pile of powder,

Sinking down within a mile.

I'm sinking slow,

No longer taking the troll.

I pull in air and begin to file,

The work I've given in for quite a while.

It eats me alive like tiny 'mites,

The eyes that exchange silent gases.
