A Blood War

Red liquid leaks from the pearls of her eyes
As bullets and light dance around her.

An eternal fire set ablaze,
By a God who never knew her name.

She takes a bite of the cylinder bronze,
Reassuring herself that nothing's wrong.

Stomach burning like a running wildfire,
Gobbling up her most beloved memories.

She watches the red water climb her waist,
Clogging her throat a million ways.

"It's suffocating, you see,"
The lady breathes.
"Fighting a war that no one believes.
You're left all alone,
Like a sack of old bones.
And no one wants you,
Because you're a curse.
You're a burden to society,
A wretched clock- undefined."

A red ring encloses the beauty of her eye,
Becoming the master of all that will suffice.

"Life is all but a web of lies,
An overrated drama you can't get out of your head.
Believe me when I say,
Never trust the protagonist."
