Lies

Fresh across my chappy lips,
Lies within the words I speak.
Just between that line you break,

Is the lies I've never spoken before.

The truth never hides itself,
It's all thrown out to the world,
Between those lines I've spoken before,
Is the unwanted word, "Hello."

Lies within my unspoken word,

The truth that hides not only itself,
The mystery of the word, "Hello good sir"
To when I'm speaking quite alone,
Or perhaps to someone I might even know,
Lies a heartbreaking truth of the word,

It's not only the lie,

But it's the truth that hurts.
No other weapon can beat unspoken truths
and told lies.
