"You know," Quil began as we walked hand in hand down La Push beach on a cloudy autumn day. "Life without you would be like a broken pencil."
"Pointless." I said at the same time as him.
"Casey, you ruined my pick-up line!" He whined. I blushed, but couldn't hide my smile. He was somewhat childish at times, but it could be fun. I wasn't very childish unless I was with him.
"Sorry. I've just seen it online before."
Quil sighed, falling into silence as he thought for a minute. "Are you a keyboard?"
"Because you're just my type."
"What are you doing for the rest of your life?"
"Because I want to spend it with you."
"Are you a tower?"
"Because 'Eiffel' for you." I finished. He groaned.
"Are you made out of Copper and Tellurium?" Quil asked. I knew this one, but I stayed quiet because it was one of my favorites. "Because you're Cu Te."
"You're sweet." I smiled, kissing the back of his hand.
"But I need to find more original pick-up lines, apparently!"
