Y/n sat on her boss's couch with tense, uncomfortable shoulders and a tight smile on her face. She never intended to come back to his place, instead go home to rest and relax her mind; not go to his condo of Lazlus. Never in a million years did she think that she'd ever be here again.

Her knees were pressed so tight together that she'd probably have marks on them and her hands intertwined with each other so tightly that she might have light bruising on them later, but even then, at least the man sitting in front of her with a familiar glass of wine gave her top tier hospitality.

Lazlus took note of how tense she was, specifically because the last time she moved was when she sat down on the couch, and even though her favorite drink when she was rewinding and relaxing was wine, he was surprised that she turned down the opportunity to drink some earlier than she usually would. Maybe she's devoted herself to drinking wine at specific times, never earlier? Or maybe she prefers drinking at home to not embarrass herself? Lazlus' eyebrows furrowed, taking another sip of his wine, so buried in his thoughts that he didn't realize the actions of the female in front of him.

L/n stood up and walked over to the door, putting her heels on before turning back around to face her boss. "Thank you for having me, but I must go home now. Thank you for the hospitality." She smiled tightly and moved her hand back to slowly unlock the door, feeling a bead of sweat drip down her neck. "I will see you tomorrow; unless tomorrow is an unscheduled holiday...?" Y/n chuckled dryly, feeling her fingers start to become jelly-like, jittery e/c eyes looking back at the lock she was still fumbling with.

Damian put the glass down and walked over to the door. "If it does end up as an unscheduled holiday tomorrow, then we can spend tomorrow together and you'll still get your paycheck for it, specifically because I'd be taking up your time." He smiled slightly and placed his hand on her shoulder. "Don't worry. Just...go home and relax."

L/n nodded quickly, finally unlocking the door and turning around to walk out of his condominium. She quickly went to the elevator, entered it, and pressed the button that led directly to the ground floor; the reception area.

As the elevator doors closed, she nearly collapsed as she felt her legs go limp beneath her, quickly remembering how her boss almost managed to lead her into a false sense of security, but the moment she'd gotten out of the door, his sweet, reassuring smile went sinister; no longer seeing the man she worked for.

As she walked out of the building, Lazlus' golden eyes pinned onto and glared at the female who had not long ago been in his living room, his hands occupied by his fingers tracing over the rim of her favorite wine glass.
