"Can I ask something?" She whispered in a low tone.

"What baby?"

"Why you hate Maya so much because she is your step-sister?" Sana whispered in a scared tone.

"Why are you talking about her? It's a time waste. Let's sleep," He said, pulling her in his embrace.

"Why? Won't you tell me? Or I shouldn't know it?" She mumbled.

"Hey, you're my family now you can know anything."

"Then tell me why you hate her so much? Even she is angry with you every time."

"I don't hate her, but I just dislike her. She is different from me. I was not her to workday and night like a machine, but dad every time compare me with her. He keeps praising her day and night. He made her CEO, but I'm just left as a partner and assistant to her. Every time he treats her special, making me fall low. And Maya, she is talented but doesn't need to show it off and get me insulted every time. Always blames me and give a lecture like dad. I have my way of living, but they want me to live like her." He spoke out in frustration.

"Yes, I understand your pain. Your dad is at fault for comparing two different persons. Is it alright to destroy her love? I'm not offending you or your friend, Sid. Just listen, she loves Jack so much. How you will feel if I leave you! Same pain she gets by losing her love. You got your love then why not she?"

"But I hate Jack, she will ruin my life along with Jack. If she marries Rick, everything will be fine."

"What! Does it really make any sense? Why will she ruin your life? You get your share anyhow," She tried to make him understand.

"Not equal! I want to be greater than her."

"If she don't agree for marriage."

"How? Just like you made me agree?" She shrieked in disgust.

"Hey, I told you I'm sorry for that, I was so angry with Noah and behaved rudely. And about Maya, she can't say no to dad. I will make it with dad, and she will accept like an obedient little girl. You, girls have so much love on your dad's it's plus point for boys." He chuckled shamelessly.

She lied on the bed staring at the ceiling.

"Ok, let's sleep, baby. We have office tomorrow" He whispered, snuggling on her neck. She slept with deep thoughts.

Next morning,

Sid started brainwashing his dad about Rick's alliance, and Sana found it was the right time and walked into Maya's cabin.

"Your brother is serious about it. He is manipulating your dad and I'm sure he will accept."

"How can you be sure?" Maya asked in disbelief.

"Your brother told me himself. He is ready to do anything to get you married to Rick, and that Chepo is behind you from long. If you say yes today, your future will be dark. Trust me, Maya, please do something. I don't want you to suffer like me. Get married to Jack as soon as possible." Sana said with pain.

"What you mean like you?" Maya asked, rolling her eyes.

"Nothing I mean alone. Think about your life atleast now!"

"I told Jack. His parents may talk with my dad shortly." Sana felt happy hearing it.

"Hope you get your love" she smiled walking to the door, but the sudden flashes of her life halted her feet.
