Me and Enid came back to her dorm to see Wednesday sitting outside. And of course we had to go say hi.
"How the hell did you get that oversized violin out the window?" Enid asked as I followed closely behind her.
"I had an extra hand." Wednesday replied and I looked over to see a hand but no body.
It waved at me causing me to tilt my head slightly, "Where's the rest of him?"
"It's one of the great Addams family mysteries." Wednesday replied as howling started and I started to howl back.
But Enid just played with her hands and walked forward slightly as Wednesday asked, "Why aren't you wolfing out?"
"Because I can't." Enid said with a sad expression as she watched me fight to transform.
It's something I do alot when I'm around Enid. Because she's my sister and she can't wolf out but I can.
Enid did the thing with her claws before sighing, "That's all I got."
Enid walked towards the balcony and leaned against it while she started to explain, "My mom says some wolves are late bloomers but I've been to the best Lycanologist. I had to fly to Milwaukee, would you believe it?"
"Yeah, mom and dad left me home." I repled rolling my eyes as Wednesday got up from where she was sitting.
"Yeah, she says there's a chance I may never...you know." Enid said as I walked towards her and she rested her head on my shoulder.
"What happens then?" Wednesday asked walking towards the two of us.
"She'd become a lone wolf." I replied for Enid because she didn't really look like she wanted to answer the question.
"Sounds perfect." Wednesday said.
"Are you kidding me?" Enid tried not to shout but she was angry, "My life would be officially over. I'd be kicked out of my family pack with no prospect of finding a mate."
"I'm failing to see the problem here." Wednesday said, which caused me to wonder what her family life was like. Clearly it wasn't good.
"I could die alone." Enid said tears forming in the corner of her eyes.
"We all die alone, Enid." Wednesday said as if it was obvious.
"You really suck at this." Enid said causing me to furrow my brows, what was that suppose to mean, "Cheering people up."
Enid started to cry causing Wednesday to get confused, "Why are you crying?"
"Because I'm upset." Enid replied looking up from her hands to face Wednesday, "Haven't you ever cried, or are you above that too?"
"Enid..." I said, because I know that Wednesday was being heartless, but I think that crossed the line a little.
"It was the week after Halloween." Wednesday started to explain, so she had cried before, "I was six years old. I took my pet scorpion, Nero, out for his afternoon stroll, and we were ambushed."
This doesn't sound to good.
"They wondered what kind of freak would have a scorpion for a pet." Wednesday continued with her story, "Two of them held me down and made me watch..."
I felt so sad for Wednesday, but the way she explained made me wonder if she even cared. Or maybe she just didn't want to be heart broken again, that would explain a lot.
"While the others ran Nero over until..." Wednesday said with a long pause before she started up again, "It was snowing when I buried what was left of him. I cried my little black heart out."
Wednesday then turned to look at me, "But tears don't fix anything. So, I vowed to never do it again."
And just like that, Wednesdays story was over.
"Your secret's safe with us." I said with a half smile as I still had an arm wrapped around Enid's shoulder.
"Still think you're weird as shit, though." Enid replied causing me to wack her upside the head.
"The feeling is incredibly mutual." Wednesday replied causing me to chuckle lightly.
They'll become friends eventully.
"How would you like your single room back?" Wednesday asked causing me to look at her confused, she wasn't thinking of leaving was she?
She's the first girl I've liked since Bianca.
"You just need to show me how to use your computer." Wednesday said simply and Enid look like she was actully willing to do it.
