Review:
I'm not fond with romance Xianxia genre, but this time I cried a lot. I skipped some parts midway due to a lot of routine. I'm fed up with how MC save ML in miserable state, ML try to get MC, MC run away. ML is super yandere.
MC is a beloved daughter from a sect leader. Her mother is a phoenix. She has a pure body. In her world, the demon went rampant, a lot immortals died. They don't have a way to stop demon king. Then they tried to send someone back to 500 years ago to prevent demon king resurrection. MC was chosen, she need to get rid the evil bane from demon king aka ML.
MC went back to 500 years ago in a mortal body. She was a great general daughter who married ML. ML was a proton prince. He was abused a lot in the cold palace. OMC loves the six prince (OML) but he love OMC illegitimate sister (OFL). I know it's not a novel world but for convenience I call them OML and OFL. OMC plan to drug OFL and ML but ML who like OFL change it to OMC, so he can marry OMC and move to the general household.
ML is still bullied in the general household. MC slowly knew his past, she tried not to pity him because he is the demon king. In a sum ML has innate devil, he was scorn and rejected everywhere even if he tried to behave. Before he was born, his mother got a difficult birth. The emperor told them to save the mother. ML mother tried to save him, but ML who heard his father, eat his mother intestine in order to survive. He was left in cold palace from baby. He drinks rat blood. He never knew human feeling. He only want to survive so he need power.
OFL stole a scale or something that actually belong to MC mother and father. The scale make OFL have multiple love thread so a lot of men love her. I thought it also include ML. But then when ML already become emperor and actually realize he never want to kill MC. He imprisoned her and use some sort of torture like shutting her in black room until she is blind. I'm not sure how it goes, this is the part I skipped. ML still act like he love OFL. Then as the summary said, ML chose to save OFL. MC then kill herself. ML become crazy and tortured OFL. He took MC corpse and refuse to bury her. Then MC brother talked to him. ML then bury her in imperial mausoleum.
500 years later, MC woke up and realize she succeed removing evil bane from ML. MC is happy finding her brothers and sisters still alive. The demon is not rampant. There's still demon king but it's not ML. I'm not clear about this part, it was hard reading in MTL. MC met ML again in sect competition. ML is a new disciple from other sect. ML didn't know MC is the one he loves. ML tried to revive MC soul, he plan to kill MC because her body is pure. I skipped some parts. ML knew that MC is the one he loves. He tried to make MC stay with him but MC keep rejecting him. She doesn't believe he has love emotion. She also believe even if he has, he love OFL. ML took her into a dream world. He want to know if MC will love him if he is not evil. MC fell in love with him in the dream even if he imitate other person who he thought MC lover. Then they woke up, MC thought ML try to manipulate her again. ML fell into despair, he become the demon king.
MC then realize that ML love her. I forgot what she do, but I think she didn't go back to ML. She was captured by ML subordinate much later. ML become cold and didn't care about her. MC still tried to save him. Then she was killed by ML. Later she realize that ML become the demon king to gather all the evil so he can destroy them all. He become the savior of 6 realms. The BE is he dissipate while MC also become barrier to demon world.
Then a hundred years later, MC ruled the demon world. She got a daughter, not sure when she conceive it. She keep trying to find ML. She traced back what ML did when she left him in mortal world. She then knew he went into underground river to find her soul in summary it was painful. MC did the same. She went back to ML palace in mortal world. She then saw her tomb as ML wife. Then beside her is ML tomb as her husband. She realize what ML did after she died. He carved the tomb and pretend it was carved by MC, he pretend MC was kind to him. MC realize how ML yearns for her love but she always left him.
MC daughter run away, she tried to find ML. She found him in mortal world. He become a hunter. MC then seduce him. He quickly agreed to marry her. MC knew he pretend to forget his past. In the end when MC said she knew he pretend. ML is afraid he'll disappoint her. MC took him back to the demon world. The end.
