Seeing him for the second time, it was in a strange city suffering from a heavy rainstorm. Planes were canceled, trains were delayed and the hotel receptionist said politely to Xiang Yu, “Sorry, but we are fully booked.”
Yu Fubai leaned aside and asked her lightly, “I’m staying in the penthouse suite, do you want to come?”
Review:
This is another good novel but I will only read it once. It's a good romance novel without conflict. When I read it, I got into the flow and anxious for MC and ML relationship. I felt heartache reading it. I stopped reading on extra 4. The mtl website was down so I read it from raw website that's using different chapters, 1 chapter can be 2-3 chapter on the raw site so it's a bit confusing to find the correct chapter.
MC just graduated, she is an ordinary family. Both her parent work abroad separately and busy. They always left MC. MC felt life shouldn't about working so she didn't pursue career too much. Her boyfriend just came to the capital and busy socializing so he neglect MC. MC break up with him and went to a trip for a month. I kinda envy her, just graduated from ordinary family and can afford 1 month trip. I think MC should be describe as well off family instead of ordinary, her family have enough money but not crazy rich.
MC has a childhood friend, Tang Yuchi. his family is crazy rich. His parent is MC godparent. They are close like sibling. TY is abroad when MC broke up and start her 1 month trip.
When MC thought to break up with her boyfriend, she met ML. ML is crazy rich too, he is more like idle and scum crazy rich. ML offered his jacket to MC who sit on stone or something dirty. Then he just left. They met again when MC on a trip, she is stuck due to storm and got no hotel. ML offer her to stay together since he is in a suite. MC accept him, she got attracted to ML but it's started with oh he's cool. ML was busy with his work while MC shut herself in the room and play game. They didn't interact much and only eating together sometimes. Both enjoyed each other company. ML then told MC that the flight will resume. They separated without leaving contact number.
Then both of them missed each other. MC heard about ML from TY. He said ML is not a good person, he is the type who played with women. His kind will have business marriage and many other women as lover.
ML contact MC again and invite her for dinner. They just got along together without saying their relation. MC knew she won't be ML girlfriend because she can be only ML mistress or plaything. ML also knew MC is a smart woman who will never become a plaything so he never define their relation. They just went on off for a while.
MC heard some stories about ML friends. 1 friend kept a French lover but he already married and has child. He loved the French lover so much but can only kept her as mistress. In the end the French lover broke their relation and married another man. The friend commit suicide after the broke up. ML friends afraid ML will become like that when they saw ML really love MC. His bestfriend Li Qi or Li Hua in the raw, said to MC, she shouldn't make ML despair like that. MC said she is also fragile, why he is not afraid she is the one who will commit suicide. ML friend just said he cared ML more than MC. Another friend told the French lover story to remind MC that she can only be a mistress. MC didn't like him and ML also avoid meeting him.
Until ML become busy with his family affair. He never told anything to MC, he just left. MC knew his situation from his friend and TY. ML grandmother was ill and ML act as her representative. MC went abroad to meet ML. MC went back after sometime. She knew from news that ML lost his grandma the day she went back. His family need to have business marriage with Chu family. MC and ML never said anything, they still got together until MC sent ML off to airport. Then they just separated for some years without news. They just keep thinking they still together despite knowing they are not.
Some years later MC found a pink diamond ring in the clothes that was bought by ML. MC wore them. She tried to find news about ML.
She went to the place they first met. It was transformed to a nursing home by ML. MC met ML's assistant who told MC the truth. MC knew ML got into accident then there's no more news about him. So MC thought ML either disabled or comma or dead. Turns out ML lost his memory and temporary disabled. He just starts walking again but he got bad temperament. MC met ML again, ML directly remember her. They got together again. ML pass the company to his cousin and let him marry the Chu family. He went back to idle rich man.
ML assistant said to MC that ML money is not much due to nursing home. MC then gave all her jewelry to the assistant and ask him to sold them. ML then said some numbers, MC thought it's his debt. ML said it was his private money, he didn't leave all his money to the assistant.
The rest is extra stories, a bit boring. It just told about MC and ML interaction and daily love.
