Walking through the halls was uncomfortable since a lot of the maids and butlers stared at Addalyn in admiration until their eyes landed on you. They most likely didn’t even realize that Akuto was right next to you since their eyes didn’t leave you at all. 

You didn’t recognize any of them since you didn’t pay any mind to your maids and butlers in that past, but they surely recognize you and that’s what pushed you to the feeling of nervousness even more than ever. 

Akuto was staring at space during the whole thing, but he still acknowledged that there were people staring daggers into your skull, so he would look in the direction of the people back as in a way to say, ‘What are you looking at??’. 

It worked, but it still didn’t help the whispers. You felt that Addalyn was walking too fast, so you started walking quicker to match her pace. You honestly just wanted to use her as a shield so people could stop looking at you. 

Akuto realized you were walking too fast for his liking, so like before, he held onto your sleeve. 

You didn’t even realize that he was holding on for dear life until you looked back. You could tell he was struggling since he was starting to sweat a little. You didn’t want him to ruin his uniform, so you took his hand and slowed down a little. 

Akuto's eyes widened slightly. You holding his hand? That was unheard of.

Like before, his eyes slowly filled with life as you cringed at your own boldness. 

While Akuto was in a happy mood, you on the other hand were having a whole mini panic attack.

The room was beautiful. It was decorated with a bunch of decorations and had a whole long table full of different deserts. 

There was one thing you didn’t like about the room though. It was full of the color purple. 

Decorating the room purple which is also the color that is known for gloominess and sadness is not the best or appropriate move. 

You smirked. Addalyn wasn’t qualified to become queen at all if she didn’t even know colors and their meanings. I mean, look at her. She can’t even put on a matching outfit!

Snapping out of your thoughts, you realized that Addalyn started happily running towards someone. Your face drained from color as you looked over knowing exactly who it was, your ex-husband…

He didn’t notice you yet thankfully as he was too busy talking with Addalyn, so you quickly ran out the room with Akuto following slowly. 

You were walking through the hallways repeating the butler’s words in your head. 

“Good luck.”

You’ll be fine, right..?

There were even more maids and butlers in the halls and they immediately started whispering, but you didn’t care. Anything was better than being in the same room as Arthur and Addalyn at the same time. 

You went into a random room and walked over to a bench to sit down. The room was big and had giant doors and windows. 

There were not a lot of maids and butlers, so you were saved from the stank eye for now..

You were starting to panic. You would have to face him probably in a few more minutes. What would he say? What would he do? Would he pity you, or would he look at you in disgust?

You put your hand on your forehead. All of this pressure was making you overthink. 

Akuto came over and sat down next to you, noticing everything that was going on.
