It was the final day of school before the winter break, the 14 of them gathered around a few tables that were pushed together and Sunoo presented two Yule Logs

"Mmm I love Yule Logs" Chae said as Eunji cut 14 pieces of cake between the two

"You guys got any plans after school today?" Sunghoon asked everyone as they began nibbling away at their cake

"Me and Jen are flying out to America tomorrow to see our families so we're packing" Jay said

"Oh my god guys you don't even know the pain of travelling with this guy" Jen groaned

"Hey it's not my fault I wanna be on time"

They cleaned up their paper plates and empty cake cases and went to the hall for their dismissal assembly, the head teacher said the usual stuff and gave out a few rewards before finally letting them go

Jungwon and Hayun walked home in very chatty moods, they discussed how fun Christmas Eve was going to be as they could just stay up and talk all night. They seemed to bond a lot more with each other by talking about things, rather than playing games or going out.

"Just wait till you meet my grandma, I'm sure she'll end up loving you more than me" Jungwon said and Hayun chuckled slightly

"Do you wanna get some hot chocolate from that cafe? It's my favourite!" Hayun suggested and Jungwon nodded in agreement

The smell of coffee and sweet bakery filled their lungs as they removed their matching hats as it was so warm, they waited in the line and takes about what they bought Mr and Mrs Yang for Christmas until they saw a cute cake

"ooh Jungwon, we should buy your grandma and parents this cake" Hayun said pointing at the cake in the display

"Yeah that would be nice" he said and they waited for the barista to come back

"Hii, can we have two hot chocolates to go and that cake please?" Hayun asked the barista

"Is that all?" The barista said and Hayun nodded, she was just about to tap her card into the reader but Jungwon gently pushed her hand aside and used his card instead

"Hey— I said I would pay!" Hayun huffed

"It's my treat" Jungwon said, smiling at her cutely

"You two are such a cute couple" the barista complimented them

"Oh— we aren't dating" Hayun reassured the barista and she just smirked at her and went to pack the cake

They collected their stuff and continued their walk home, sipping on their hot chocolates, they made it home and Mrs Yang greeted them as usual

"What have you brought home today?" Mrs Yang asked, curious as to what was in the box Jungwon was carrying

"Hayun had the idea to buy grandma a cake from the cafe we stopped by on the way home" Jungwon replied, handing the cake to his mother

"How sweet of you! I'll be sure to keep it fresh in the fridge" she said and scurried off to the kitchen

Hayun and Jungwon then removed their coats , hats and scarves before heading upstairs. They quickly changed into their pyjamas and Jungwon knocked gently onto Hayun's door.
