3RD PERSON POV :

The friend group could tell just by a glance that Hayun was more than pissed, but she was trying to suppress it.

Jungwon won 200m as expected and they once again invaded the track by congratulating him, Hayun gave him a hug and held his hand tightly

"What's wrong Yun?" Jungwon asked his girlfriend, still intertwining their fingers together as they walked over to the finish line for 800m

"Ah— nothing, just someone was bothering me" Hayun mumbled

"Who? Is it a guy? They didn't hurt you did they?" Jungwon's tone was full of concern and worry for the girl

"That Bareum girl.. she was just saying some things about you" Hayun replied

"Like what?"

"She said you were a good kisser, and that I got all fired up about just that one comment from her"

"Is my girlfriend.. jealous?" Jungwon rubbed her arm as he laid his arm on her shoulder, pulling her closer to him

"Who wouldn't be mad about that Jungwon? You don't just say something like that to their girlfriend" Hayun huffed, turning away from the boy

"I know I'm sorry.. just ignore her Yun, she's just jealous" Jungwon pulled her back and she stood in front of the boy as he leaned his arms on both her shoulders and his head laid on her head

They watched Eunji and Jake place 1st in 800m, which was also expected, and they then went to the food stalls that were set up for sports day to get some food.

After buying their food, they headed back to their spot in the stands and the group regathered one again.

"We must be winning by now" Sunoo exclaimed

"Surely, we definitely won the last two events by far, I didn't keep track of the other two" Sunghoon said, putting a piece of kimbap in his mouth shortly after

"Relay is gonna be fun" Jake stretched his arms

"Who's competing for each team in the other classes?" Eunji asked

"Yujin told us some of the people in her friend group are class 2's relay team" Hayun recalled

"Oh yeah— Wonyoung said she was running last I think" Yoon suddenly remembered, and Jake's head popped up

"Wonyoung? Is she fast?" His voice had some worry in it and they all laughed

"Not really, she said to me herself that she was put forward before she could protest" Yoon shrugged and he let out a sigh of relief

They ate their food and then the relay team began to warm up for their race that was commencing soon

"Same line up, yeah?" Jake asked and they nodded in confirmation

"We still have time, the 1st year and 2nd years still have to run their races before us" Eunji pointed at the younger years of their team nervously gathered

"Should we go give them some words of encouragement?" Hayun suggested

"I think I see Yeji— not our Yeji but I mean Sunghoon's sister, yeah let's go over" Jake pointed at a 1st year girl as they walked over

8 younger years were huddled, discussing god knows what, but they quietened down when the 3rd years arrived

"You guys look like you're about to shit yoursel—" Jake remarked until Eunji elbowed him in his side, causing him to over dramatically whine in pain, which made the 1st and 2nd years laugh a little

"Ignore him! He's more nervous than all of you guys here" Eunji smiled sweetly

"Are you my brother's friends?" A girl with long hair asked the 4 upperclassman

"You're Yeji right? You look like a female version of Sunghoon I swear" Hayun replied, chuckling a little bit at their scary resemblance of each other

"I don't think we look alike" Yeji denied

"If Dae were here right now she would've loved yo—" Jungwon commented

"Oh Dae? Sunghoon's girlfriend? She's so nice!" Yeji nonchalantly said

"GIRLFRIEND?" The 4 teens jaws dropped at that name being used

"SUNGHOON? DAE? GIRLFRIEND?" Eunji tried to process what she had just heard

"Yeah, she came around for dinner not so long ago"

"OH MY—" Jungwon put his hand on his heart and the younger years laughed at their upperclassmen's humour

"EUNJI I TOLD YOU— SINCE THE JEJU TRIP I SWEAR" Hayun pointed at her best friend next to her

"We gotta have a chat with him later.." Jake said in a serious tone to Jungwon

"Anyways! Who is running in what position?" Eunji asked

"I'm running first!" An abnormally tall 1st year and a small 2nd year put their hands up

"Come with me to our starting point, I'm  also running first" she then led the two younger years away from their circle in the direction of the start line

"If you're running second, follow me" Hayun warmly smiled as Sunghoon's sister and a 2nd year boy walked next to her

"You're really pretty, Hayun" Yeji complimented the girl

"How do you know my name?" Hayun raised an eyebrow, she didn't recall saying her name moments ago

"I saw you at the football match yesterday! I was watching with some of my friends" Yeji said

"Ohh, do you like football?" Hayun asked

"I love football! Sunghoon plays with me sometimes in our front yard after he comes back from his training"

"Why don't you try out for the football team next year? You know, me and my 6 other friends are leaving for university, there will be plenty of space "

"I will! Just because you said that" Yeji smiled brightly and Hayun

The three team members arrived at their starting point, where all the other students that were running second gathered.

Hayun gritted her teeth looking at the girl opposite her, Kim Bareum, again?

But she remained calm, she can't be holding grudge against her for something as silly as that, like Jungwon said, she's just jealous.

Hayun knuckled down and dug her feelings deep, besides one, determination.
