END OF FLASHBACK

Jungwon walked up to Hayun, a small smile tugging at his lips

A crowd of people had formed around the two, giving them plenty of space.

He held her hand and intertwined their fingers, Hayun looked away, a little flustered at his bold move but he moved her head to look at him with his free hand

"Don't get all shy now, Yun.."

His voice was cool and it sent shivers down her spine

"I— I'm not.."

However, everyone could tell this girl folded as soon as the boy infront of her held her hand

"Are you sure about that?"

She looked away from him again, with a very visible smile on her face.

Jungwon's grin changed into a big smile, his dimples deep into his chin with happiness. Knowing he made her smile.

"Lee Hayun, will you be my girlfriend?"

Hayun slowly turned her head to look at him, her cheeks were bright red as his words echoed in her mind for what seemed like an eternity.

It was silent

Everyone waited anxiously for her reply

"of course I will!"

The crowd cheered for the new couple as Jungwon leaned into Hayun slowly for a kiss, but she beat him to it and wrapped her hands around his neck, bringing her into him.

She crashed his lips into hers as they passionately kissed, this time it was for real

They weren't drunk, they weren't playing around, it had meaning

. . . Not like all of the other times didn't have meaning

They released themselves from each other and just laughed,

happiness.

Everything was going back to how it should be, just as a couple this time.

Their friend group no longer had that awkward divide between each other and they were just waiting for the summer holidays to begin.

But what mattered the most before summer?

Prom.
