a/n : I highly rec listening to
'What's Up Danger' I think it'll fit with the scene 🙏

The final race was about to begin.

Hayun shook her anxiety out of her body and tightened her pony tail as she headed onto the race track

"Lee, you go in Lane 2. Gaeul, you're in Lane 1. Bareum, get in Lane 3. What's your name again? Oh right, you're in Lane 4" a teacher ordered the four girls that were in the wrong lanes

Hayun stood face to face with Bareum, and just smirked at her, anger was building up in her for no reason once again.
This girl just made her blood boil.

HAYUN'S POV :

"Good luck Hayun! Not like you'll need it, we have better runners than yours by far" Bareum commented and I shot her a confused glance, I'm not familiar with class 3

"Don't you know? We have Chaeyoung, she's the third fastest runner in our school" Bareum laughed evilly

is this girl okay? I'm starting to think she's fucking insane

"Do you know who's in first and second? Me and Eunji, also I think you meant 'runner' not 'runners' if Chaeyoung is your only fast runner" I rolled my eyes at her, before looking at Eunji who was stretching with the baton at the starting line

"You must've woken up on the wrong side of the bed today Hayun, or are you still mad about how I said Jungwon was a good kisser?" Bareum voiced

"No"

"If you aren't then I'll continue, his lips were so soft and ours moved in rhythm when we kissed. I know he loved it—"

"Sorry, do you mind Bareum?" I cut her off in a cold tone, making the girl flinch a little

"I'm trying to prepare for a race, I quite frankly, do not care about when or how YOU kissed Jungwon at this moment in time. Now if you don't mind, shut your fucking mouth and focus"

The whistle blew and Eunji sped off towards me, ahead of the others runners by a couple seconds.

"Jeez, do you own him or somethi—" she scoffed before Eunji handed me the baton firmly and I ran as fast as I could, ignoring her comment. Fucking annoying voice in my ear.

I just need to win this race, I don't care.

It felt like I was floating and I could t touch the ground with how fast I was running down that track.

All noises went muffled and a white noise ringer into my ears as I got closer and closer to Jungwon, who began jogging a little from his position.

I passed him the baton and he ran off to Jake at the last point for relay. Shortly after, class 4's runners exchanged batons and followed after Jungwon. That was shocking, it will definitely be different if class 4 places second in 3rd year relay.

I walked off the track with the three other runners, catching my breath.

I watched Jake pass the finishing line, metres ahead from the others and cheered from afar
