Ella's POV;
   I walked into my room and turned my lamp on. I was so tired from practice. I jumped onto my bed and kicked off my shoes. I didn't bother changing into clean clothes so I just fell into my pillow and closed my eyes.
I heard knocking on my door. My mom walks in to check on me. "How was practice?"
"Good," I said. "I'm tired."
"Oh okay," she said. "I'll let you sleep. Goodnight."
I smiled and went to turn my lamp off. I laid in bed and closed my eyes. I started to fall asleep when I thought I heard footsteps. I scrunched my eyebrows together then I sat up in the dark and looked around. Nothing. I shrugged and laid down again.
Thump, thump, thump.
I let out an annoyed sigh. Can't I just get some peace and quiet?? I sat up and opened my eyes. There was a dark figure on the other side of the room, staring at me. Man, I'm getting delusional, I thought. I ignored it, thinking my brain was just playing tricks on me, and closed my eyes.
Scratch, scratch, scratch.
I squeezed my eyes tighter, trying to block out the noise. I must've done that for a while because the sounds eventually stopped. I sighed in relief. I decided to check and see if this 'figure' had left. I opened my eyes and gasped.
Staring back at me was a dark demon with eyes glowing an eerie yellow.
I couldn't move or get up, let alone speak. I just watched it stare at me, inches from my face. Let's just say after that night, I never slept again. Or woke up from my dark room and its glowing eyes.

I'm thinking about stopping my book at 20 stories. In the comments let me know if I should conclude my book. If you think I should keep going, let me know in the comments. More story ideas would be great too!
