"Hey."

I look up, seeing Gabby walk into my office. She holds three big bags of McDonalds, and I smile as I stand up.

"Thank you. I could smell that as you went up the elevator." I take the bags, putting them on the coffee table as I hug her instead.

I inhale her scent that makes me relax.

"Where's the kids?"

"Aaron and Ian and the others are with them. It's been a long time since it's been just you and I. It's been you and the twins and I. After that it's been you and the twins and the others and I. Later it's you and the twins and the others and the triplets and I. Then there's you and the twins and the others and the triplets and Aaron and I. It's just keeps growing...

"I want a little...you and me time..." When she says this I smirk, pulling away from her, grabbing her hand.

"What kind of 'you and me time'?"

"It's up to you." I walk to my office door, locking it. I have the biggest office in this building, and is in the top floor. But I still won't take any chances.

"Up to me? The last time it was 'up to me,' you became pregnant." I remember us having sex in her hospital room, the twins being looked over and getting shots in the process.

Gabby pulls away from me slowly, walking to my office table.

"Maybe you shouldn't get so excited. Maybe you should do the pull out method."

"Like that works. Once I start going it just keeps coming out."

She rolled her eyes, sitting at my chair. I grabbed one of the bags, taking out some fries.

"I am very proud of you for talking to Aaron two days ago."

"I didn't want to. But my kids were there and he just sat himself next to me. You know how bad that'll look to my kids if they see me treat their Uncle like a bitch?" From there I start shoving fries in my mouth, grabbing Gabby's hand." No sex. Lets go for a walk. Lets talk, about you and I."

In my pocket, I did have my moms wedding ring in it. I was going to propose to her four years ago, but got distracted on her eyes. But since I knew she was coming I brought it.

For awhile now I went along with the mate thing for too long. I want to be able to walk around and when a man sees her hand, they'll see the ring on her left hand.

Once we leave my office we start walking, and all the walls here are made of glass pretty much, and the floors are almost glass too. But you can't see through it, thank goodness.

"I have been thinking," I stop in front of a window, looking out it as the sun is over the horizon," I don't want to be mates."

Her eyes lose life. Her hand becomes cold suddenly and I can hear her heart beat slow down.

"What...?" She croaks, shaking her head.

"I don't want to be just mates, I want to be more." Gabby gasps, slapping me playfully as I laugh.

"You scared the heck out of me! I thought you were...ohmigosh..." She covers her face, and I grab her hands as I pull her to me, smiling. I look towards the outside, watching the cars driving as I say something cheesy, they look like ants.

I, at some point, feel her arms wrap around me too. Feeling her bury her face into my chest.

"Four years ago...I was going to ask you a question. But we were babysitting at the time, and you were pregnant with the twins, and there was to many things going on. I got distracted and didn't get to do what I wanted..." I gently pull Gabby off me, getting her in a dancing position. I quickly remember a dance routine my mother taught me to do with my wife when I was to get married.

"I want to show you something, just...follow my lead." I step back, and she steps back, resulting in us to pull apart." Okay. If I'm to step back you step forward. If I step forward you step back."

She nods, and I step back again, and she steps forward. I nod, wrapping my hand around her waist, and she wraps her arms around my neck.

I do a one-two-three-four, making us dance in circles, and I pull away, letting my hand out to say to stay there. I walk around her, stopping in front of her as I grab her hand, spinning her around. Then pulling her forward as she tripped over her feet, falling into me.

I find myself chuckling,"Do everything we just did, again, all over again. But this time, when I circle around, follow me." She smiles, nodding.

We do the same thing again, and I look at her dark brown eyes.

I love this woman, and that ring in my pocket is only burning for me to pull it out.

When I pull away I start walking around her, and she walks beside me, grabbing my arm as she smiles up at me. She then pulls away, and I grab her hand, spinning her, around, but she doesn't fall this time.

We end up doing this five more times and at the end we're laughing. But I pull away, falling to one knee as I dig in my pocket, pulling out the ring.

At first she just looks at it, reaching out to grab it. But I pull it away shaking my head.

"You've heard of men proposing to their lovers right?"

"Yeah." Once she says this she gasps.

"You already told me that since we're mates, there's no need to get married. But, when I was human, it's traditional to marry the woman you love to the bottom of your heart. And that person, is you.

"My mom told me to give this ring to someone who is important and loves me for who I am. And I think that person is you... So-."

"Yes!! You don't even have to continue!!" She took the ring, sliding it on her left ring finger. Then pounced on me excitedly.

"Thank you..." I whisper, happy that I can finally marry the woman that has been claimed as my mate, but now humans will know she's my wife as well.
