My fathers words had lingered in my mind 'kill him,' they echoed.

I raced toward Luke, hoping I would make it in time to shove those blazing monsters off of him, but I felt strong hands dig into my arms, lifting me off my feet and holding me back.

"No!" I shrieked, "LUKE!"

I was too late... Luke was melted away into nothing.

I felt my eyes weld up in tears, I struggled to force them back and show no signs of weakness but it was almost impossible, Luke was... gone.

I suddenly felt silver chains entwine my wrists and ankles.

I gasped, silver chains prevented us from shifting into our wolf forms. My father was truly twisted.

"If you don't want that to happen to your dear Alpha- or should I say mate, then I suggest you come back home, Claire." my father had said, stepping closer towards me.

Dale! "Where is he." I snarled, giving my dad the nastiest look I had.

He grinned at me, making me even angrier.

"WHERE IS HE!?" I lunged at my father, only to be pulled back by the arms gripping me.

"Bring him." my dad had ordered.

In moments, Dale had appeared in front of me, bleeding, torn apart and also clasped in silver chains.

My eyes widened and watered even more, "Dale..." I whispered.

He looked up at me, standing only a few feet away from me, "don't go with them Claire... I don't care if I die. Just don't go with them, please." he begged softly.

"No, no, don't say that, please. I'd never let you die." I argued back calmly through tears- "we, we're mates."

His eyes sharpened at those words. "We're mates," he repeated quietly with a smile. "I've been waiting forever to hear you say those words."

My father stood between us, suddenly striking Dale's bloody face, causing him to fall over, unconscious.

"Enough! Don't talk to my daughter. You're just a weak Alpha, you can't even defeat my pa-"

I cut the man that I called my father's voice out.

My body began trembling violently, I felt my eyes glow with gold, I clenched my teeth together and felt my breathing slow down to nothing.

I closed my fists into balls or fury and howled into the cold air, letting it shred through the cold of the night.

My father stood before me, laughing, "do you honestly think you can break through those silver cha-" my wolf had furiously tore through the silver chains. Breaking them to pieces, while inheriting my golden glow.

I stood there with anger flowing throughout my body, my father, no longer laughing.

My paws dugs into the snow, making it glow gold and sending horror into the men holding my mate and I captive.

"R-run!" I heard my father cry.

My golden eyes followed him, giving him a threatening ferocious look.

His pack scuttled off into the wilderness, with him following.

I'd never felt this much power before, I approached Dale and bit his silver chains off with my clawing teeth, while shifting back into my human form.

I felt for his pulse... but I couldn't find one.
