Jun Min felt waves of memories flooding through his head, memories of the original, Yu Zeng.

He closed his eyes but the pain wouldn't go away.

"Brother Yu Zeng, are you alright?" The boy who was around ten years old asked when he noticed that the other person seemed to be in pain.

Jun Min stopped walking and knelt on the sand, his breathing became faster due to the intense pain he was feeling inside his head. In all the transmigration novels I read, there's a system accompanying them, giving them a guide on what to do and how to do a mission. Am I really alone in this world? Jun Min closed his eyes tightly. This pain is killing me! Jun Min couldn't help but feel depressed.

Just as Jun Min was about to abandon hope, he felt someone holding his left shoulder, when he tried to open his eyes. He saw the boy in front of him with a worried expression on his face.
This child must be Wei Shun, he can control the fire element like the villain.

Wei Shun lost his family at a very young age and the leader of the sect took pity on him and took him in to raise and also to cultivate his fire element.

"Master, who is that child?" Yu Zeng looked at the young child dressed in rags indifferently. The child couldn't help but shrink in fear.

"He is Wei Shun, a fire wielder. He lost his parents and I decided to take him in. From now on, he will be under your care and you will help him cultivate his element." His master smiled at him. Yu Zeng smiled at the child but it didn't reach his eyes.

From that moment on, Wei Shun followed Yu Zeng around, helping him prepare his bath, food, and the materials needed for cultivation but Yu Zeng just gave the child a book for cultivation not even once he taught him how to cultivate. Whenever Yu Zeng went to the shore to practice cultivation, Wei Shun stayed at the foothills of the mountain to read the book and tried learning what was written on it. Which was why the child's cultivation level didn't improve ever since their master took him in one year ago. Yu Zeng's elemental level was already at the intermediate stage while Wei Shun's elemental level was still at the beginner's level.

One day, their master instructed them to go to the mountain to gather some magical herbs.

The mountain was located near their sect but the path was steep.

Wei Shun accidentally touched Yu Zeng's arm when the child lost his balance.

Yu Zeng looked at the child coldly.

"Don't you dare touch me!" He shrugged the child's hand away from him and stomped away without looking back.

--- excerpt from the novel "Daybreak"---

How could the original Yu Zeng treat this innocent child poorly? Jun Min thought.

Wei Shun noticed how his brother Yu Zeng looked at his small hand who was still holding his shoulder. He immediately withdrew his hand and waited for the harsh words that Yu Zeng might throw at him but it never came. Yu Zeng slowly stood up and looked at him. He was thankful that somehow the pain subsided.

"Are you in pain brother Yu Zeng?" the child innocently asked.

"I'm fine now Wei Shun, thank you for your concern." He sincerely smiled which surprised the child.

Wei Shun stared at Yu Zeng in disbelief.

Did I do something wrong? Why does this child look surprised? Jun Min looked at the sea and remembered that the original Yu Zeng liked to practice cultivation near the sea as his element is water.

"I think, we should go back now Wei Shun."

The child obediently followed without saying a word.

When Jun Min entered Yu Zeng's room, he couldn't believe how big it was. It was decorated with expensive looking things. He observed his appearance in front of the mirror and couldn't help but to stare at it for a long time.

Long black hair, high nose, fair and delicate skin, and a pair of attractive eyes. Yu Zeng is so handsome. So, I really transmigrated into this novel! This is sooo cool. So how am I gonna face the protagonist? The man with a face "far beyond our imagination" at least that's how the author described him, my friendship with the protagonist but our so-called friendship or his friendship with Yu Zeng went downhill because of Ai Jin. I don't like to associate myself with that girl. I want to stay on good terms with the protagonist.

"Are you alright brother?" Wei Shun looked at him worriedly, his brother had been acting strange ever since he found him by the shore.

I forgot, Wei Shun is still here!!!

"Yes. I'm fine. Do you have something to tell?" Jun Min moved away from the mirror and faced the child.

The young boy nodded. "Brother Guiying would like to hang out with you this evening in town."

Upon hearing the name, Jun Min's eyes gleamed with happiness which startled the poor child and took a step back.

"Are you alright big brother?"

Heng Guiying the main character in the novel, "Daybreak". Of course! It makes me excited!

"I'm happy that he finds time in his schedule to hang out with me, that's all." From a happy face, Jun Min's face changed into an indifferent one.
I should stay in character... but this is my body now so I should live my life to the fullest! I am now Yu Zeng.

So, Yu Zeng decided to smile at Wei Shun.
