I hide behind a pillar, making sure to keep my presence as hidden as possible. I run into one of the buildings on my left but I stop, gasping slightly as I see many dead grounders. I step over them, looking in a few rooms but I only find bodies.
"Azgeda ste attacking trikru en skaikru. [Ice Nation is attacking Trikru and Skaikru.]" I snap my head in the direction of the voice as I quickly make my way out of the room and down the hall. "Their gonakru marches gon yu camp tonight. [Their army marches on your camp tonight.]" My eyes turn wide upon hearing the information as I run into the room the voice was coming from.
"Octavia." I say in relief as I see her kneeling down in front of a hurt grounder. She looks at me in shock for a moment as I make my way over to her and the grounder.
"Weron ste Indra? [Where is Indra?]" Octavia asks.
"Warning our people. You should warn yours. The alliance is broken. It's war." He tells us as Octavia looks at me with wide eyes, my expression probably the same.
"Emo spotted her disha edei! [They spotted her this way!]" I turn back at the sound of a guard not far from us.
"Octavia, we have to go." I tell her as she stands up. I notice a sword laying not far from me and I quickly grab, figuring it would be more help than the small knife I was now placing back into my boot.
"What the hell are you doing here, Sawyer?" Octavia asks as we sneak out of Polis.
"Me and Bellamy took out a hunting party, Ice Nation tracked us down. They have Bellamy but I got away." I explain as she looks at me.
"They have my brother?" She asks, an unreadable expression on her face.
"Yes. Which means we need to hurry. Have you seen my father?" I ask as we hide behind a wall, avoiding the guards about to walk past us.
"Last I saw him, Roan wanted to talk with him." She informed me, sending me a small sympathetic glance. We both knew that his meant Roan was probably holding him hostage. "Come on." She says, grabbing my arm and leading me to her horse, Helios.
Octavia gets on top of Helios as I follow suit, riding out of Polis as fast as we could. It had only been a short while watching the trees go by - and praying nothing had happened to my father or Bellamy - before I begin to hear multiple horses behind us. I glance back as my eyes go wide, seeing four Ice Nation grounders behind us, chasing us down.
"Octavia! They're here!" I shout as she glances back, before ordering Helios to go faster.
"Disha edei, we'll kodon emo off! [This way, we'll cut them off!]" I hear Echo's voice as I continuously glance back, soon finding that they weren't behind us anymore and instead, overtaking us and eventually cutting off our path, causing Octavia to come to a stop.
