Aphmau's POV
I reached up, standing on the tips of my toes, and managed to pull the the block of cheddar cheese down from higher shelf. Garroth had asked me to go shopping, he said he was busy with something. Of course I had agreed, he is my boyfriend. We even live together.
I checked the next item on my shopping list, and mentally groaned. It was sour cream, which is always on the top shelf. I sighed quietly and moved the cart to where it was, staring up at the top shelf. I reached up, going on the tips of my toes, almost like ballerina, and stretching my hand as much as possible. I wobbled, still trying to reach the sour cream. My fingers brushed it lightly, just as I lost my balanced and fell with a yelp.
"Eeek!" I squeaked, falling backwards, bracing myself for the impact of cold concrete, and instead fell into someones arms. I looked up, and saw a man with a red coat on. His hood was up, and he had a red bandanna around his eyes. He also wasn't wearing a shirt. I squeaked and pushed myself off of him.
"I-I am so sorry sir!!" I exclaimed, "I didn't mean to fall on you, I just lost my balance!"
"...Its fine..." he replied, "Is this what you were reaching for?" He pulled the sour cream down for me.
"Y-Yes, thank you." I said, taking it from him.
"Alpha!" I turned and saw a werewolf boy running over,
"Are you okay?! I saw you catch that girl!" He had red hair, and two different eyes. One blue, and one green. I recognized him from school,
"B-Blaze?" I asked,
"Aphmau?.. Aphmau! It's great to see you!!" Blaze exclaimed,
"Aphmau?..." the other man asked, I looked up at him, he was familiar, but I couldn't seem to remember who he was.
"Oh! Right, Aphmau, I'm sure you remember Aaron, right?!" Blaze laughed, "You guys were a thing back in high school!"
My cheeks heated up as I looked at the other man, he sighed and pulled his hood down, and took his bandanna off. He was Aaron, I would remember his dark, night coloured eyes anywhere.
"H-Hey Aph... its... been a long ti-" I hugged him,
"I missed you Aaron, you never came to see me after what happened, I was worried..." I told him. He hesitated, then hugged me back.
"I... missed you to... I didn't think you would want to see me... I hurt you..." He trailed off, I pulled away and looked at him,
"It wasn't your fault, I'm the one who provoked you. I shouldn't have said what I did. I thought you had forgotten about me after they said I was dead... I still can't believe they mixed that up..." I looked at him,
"OoOoOh!! Are we interrupting something?~" I saw Dottie appear around the corner, with Daniel and Rylan.
"What?! No!" I exclaimed, blushing,
"Ooh! Did Alpha find someone special to be his mate?!" Daniel asked,
"D-Daniel!!" Aaron was blushing now too,
"I have a boyfriend you know!" I exclaimed,
"Oh right! I forgot you had the blond pig. Garrett?" Dottie asked,
"Garroth..." I sighed,
"Your dating Garroth?" Aaron asked me,
"Y-Yeah, we got together after college." I told him, he nodded. He looked... disappointed? No, I'm seeing things. Aaron and I don't have anything special, we're just old friends.
I was pulled from my thoughts as my phone started ringing, I glanced down and looked at it. It was Garroth,
"Speak of the devil." I sighed, picking up my phone, "One minute." I told them, pressing accept.
"Hey hon, what is it?" I asked,
"Aphmau, where are you? You haven't come home yet, I'm worried." He said,
"I'm fine Garroth," I laughed, "I just met up with some old friends."
"Which ones?" He asked,
"Aaron, and some werewolves from highschool." I said after a moment of hesitation.
"Oh... well, get home soon okay? I worry about you babe." He told me,
"I will, don't worry." I promised, and hung up.
"I need to hurry and finish shopping, sorry everyone." I sighed,
"That's okay Alph- Aphmau! Sorry! Old habits..." Dottie corrected herself, mumbling the last last quietly. I patted her on the back,
"Its okay Dottie, oh!" I took out a loose piece of scrap paper and wrote my phone number on it. Then gave it to Aaron,
"I had to get a new phone after college, so here's the phone number. I want to be able to be friends again at least?" I asked, he nodded with a small smile and pocketed the paper. Nothing was left on my list, so I waved goodbye and went to pay for my things.
Aaron's POV
I stated after Aphmau, watching her leave. She was so friendly with everyone, so kind, and gentle. I would be lying if I said I hadn't missed her. But she was with Garroth now, and I'm sure she secretly hates me after what happened.
"I think Alpha found his Luna, guys." Daniel said, pulling me from my thoughts as my face turned hotter then it already was.
"But she's dating Garroth!" Dottie complained,
"Then we just break them up. Garroth uses her anyway, all 3 of us know that." Rilen stated,
"What do you mean?" Blaze asked,
"We visit Aphmau a lot! We're like, her werewolf friend guide, cause Garroth won't let her have her ears and tail out." Dottie exclaimed. My head shot up.
"He what?!" I exclaimed,
"I know right!! He has absolutely no right to do that to her!" Dottie complained,
"Hmm..." I started thinking,
"Dottie, how often do you, Daniel, and Rilen visit Aphmau?" I asked,
"I visit her every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday! Daniel visits on Tuesdays and Saturdays, and Rilen visits Thursday and Sunday. Sometimes we see her more, depending on whats going on in her life." Dottie replied,
"So, all together you cover an entire week?" I asked,
"Yep!" She exclaimed,
"Alright. Would you keep doing that? And make sure she's okay whenever you visit. I also want to know why he makes her hide her werewolf side." I told them,
"Yes Alpha!" The three chorused.
I need to help Aphmau... I thought, staring at the piece of paper with her phone number on it. I stuffed it in my pocket.
"Let's get going, Melissa's cooking tonight." I said,
"Ooh! I love it when Melissa cooks!" Dottie cheered,
"Oh yeah!" Blaze exclaimed,
"Yay!" Daniel and Rilen exclaimed, the four of them bounced along out of the store. I followed them as we payed and left.
