"So," I said plopping on darnells bed.
"So what?"
"How would you feel about going to Liv and kias Cotillion with me?"
"I would love to, but I got a science midterm. My football future would appreciate me passing," darnell laughed.
"How about I help you study and you come to this thing with me?" I propsed.
"Deal," darnell gave in.
"Your the best!" I said and hugged.
"I'm know I am," I shoved him lightly.
I talked with Darnell for a bit before heading back to Cams. When I walked in cam handed me a letter.
"Who's this from?" I asked confused.
"Open it," he told me.
I opened the letter. My eyes widened in shock when I saw who sent it. I read the letter and my excitement grew even more.
"Bro, whos it from?" Cam asked.
"Julliard."
"Wait. The jullaird?" He asked in shock for me.
"They want me to send in a clip of my music. They are considering me for their summer program!" I yelled excited.
"Julliard. That's like the UCLA of the arts. I'm so proud!" Cam said bringing me into a tight hig.
"Thank you!" I said, barely containing my excitement.
My phone buzzed and I noticed a text from diego.
Diego
Did you get a julliard letter?
Ace
Yeah. You did too?
Deigo
I'm so beating you for this program.
I rolled my eyes at him. I could beat diego in my sleep. I just cant believe I get this opportunity.
Time skip - before Cotillion
I arrive at Spencer's house where Darnell is. I knock on the door and Spencer answers it. We just awkwardly stare at eachother.
"Well this isnt awkward at all,"dillion said coming up,"ace would you like to come in?"
"Thanks little man," I said to him and walked in.
"Damn girl. Howd I get this lucky?" Darnell asked seeing me.
"I could say the same thing," I said looking him up and down.
He walked over and kissed my forehead.
"Well it think it's time to go. Olivia is picking us up," spencer said breaking us apart.
"This should be fun," dillion said then turned to mama grace,"are you sure I cant go?"
"Yes. Now get to your room and leave them alone."
"Bye Miss James," I laughed and walked out holding darnells hand.
We got in Olivia's car and drove to her Cotillion.
"You excited?" I asked her.
"I may have a panic attack," she told me shakily.
"So yes," I said and she rolled her eyes at me.
