IT HAD BEEN A WEEK SINCE YOUR AWKWARD DAY at school. after that one time in class eren had attempted to speak to you, that was the last time. you noticed that mikasa and armin were stuck in the middle between you two, and didn't want to entirely pick your side which you understood. eren was hanging out with annie a lot more, and it wasn't easy for you to take in.

what you used to do at lunch, he did with her. he was more flirty to her than he ever was to you, and it was noticeable that reiner and bertholdt were edging her on to keep up with him. his personality was changing from where you stood, but of course you weren't entirely sure.

"hey, y/n?" an unfamiliar voice called from behind you. you turned to see historia and ymir standing next to one another. you never liked talking to other people much, you usually wanted to just keep conversation between mikasa, armin, and eren.

"yes..?" you replied.

"what happened with you and eren if i may ask?" historia sweetly questioned. honestly, you didn't know how to respond because partially you were unsure why he stopped talking to you entirely.

"uhm, i'm not entirely sure." you replied and scratched the back of your head in awkwardness.

"sorry if i made you uncomfortable!" she worried and waved her hands in front of her, "i just noticed you, mikasa, armin, and eren all used to be so close and now you're all so distant..."

you smiled at her concern. what you've heard is true, historia is so sweet and caring, apparently the complete opposite of ymir; who still hasn't said a word. just staring at you weirdly.

"it's alright, thank you for the concern." you smiled genuinely towards them and continued to eat your lunch.

"hey, do you mind if we sit with 'ya?" ymir finally spoke. you were shocked with the request but nodded. they took a seat across from you and held hands while they ate their food. a really adorable couple, you had to say. while they ate and talked, you trailed my eyes over the cafeteria to try and find eren. sure enough you did.

he sat next to annie, per usual. and armin and mikasa sat next to him on his other side. you had finally came to the conclusion that you friendship was slowly breaking apart. armin and mikasa most likely were with eren because they were friends longer but as long as they were happy you didn't mind. being alone was something you're fine with, and honestly preferred.

"hey, you alright? real quiet." ymir interrupted your thoughts.

"huh? yeah i am, sorry." you shook your head and quickly continued to eat your lunch. "how long have you two been dating?" you asked. they went quiet, you were guessing that they were in thought.

"about 4 years?" historia guessed.

"yeah, i'd say." ymir followed in answer.

"wow, that's really long." you gawked at the answer, "you two must really love each other..."

"yes!" historia cheered while nuzzling into ymir's arm. you still liked to imagine you and eren like that, but you knew it wasn't going to happen.

"hey, you like eren, right?" ymir asked. you flinched at the question but it was obvious to people around you.

"i did. but he was to stupid to notice..." you sighed. "but it was my fault cause i didn't tell him! ARGH." you groaned. you were still frustrated in him and yourself but oh well i suppose.

"it seems to me it's still sitting on your chest he doesn't know. why don't you tell him? even if he doesn't like you." historia consulted. you were honestly surprised by this and didn't know what to think. "i mean you don't have to! i just think it's a good way to get it off your chest."
