epilogue

"KAIYA C'MON, WAKE UP. I CAN'T AFFORD YOUR BROTHER to be late again!" i yelled at my eldest daughter who laid in bed under her covers. "eren can you please make sure oliver is up?" i asked my husband who was down the hall eating a bowl of cereal.

"they're gonna be late anyways, just let them stay home." he shrugged.

"eren!" i gasped and locked eyes with him out of the door of the bedroom. "kaiya! if you don't wake up, dad will do it."

"what the hell am i going to do." he chuckled. i sent a glare and he shut up quickly.

    "5 more minutes!"

"no!" i ripped the covers off her once more and picked her up over my shoulder. she began to sleepily kick around as i set her in front of the dresser. "eren!"

"fine, fine." he groaned and left the hall.

"mom, can i stay home." she asked. her teal eyes tiredly met with mine. her eyes were just like eren's.

"no, get dressed. eren, is oliver up?" i asked walking out of the room. peeking into the preschoolers bedroom, eren was lifting him up out of the bed and helping him get dressed. i smiled to myself. eren and i finally got married, lived together in the city with our 2 children. kaiya and oliver. one in the 3rd grade, while the other was in preschool. i made my way to the kitchen quickly to grab the small pieces of toast from the toaster- i flew to the fridge and grabbed the lunch boxes, packing them into the correct backpacks and zipping them closed.

"i'm ready." kaiya's voice rung in my ears. i turned to see her in a small floral dress.

"sorry i can't do your hair today." i frowned and handed her the toast.

"it's okay, can you promise tomorrow?" she beamed and took a bite.

"yes, tomorrow. only if you actually get out of bed" i smiled and helped her slip the backpack over her shoulders. she nodded with a grin has she took a bite out of the golden bread. "eren jaeger, get out here!"

"yes ma'am." he mocked and came around the corner with a dressed oliver. "again they could just-"

"eren. jaeger." i lectured again and took oliver.

"we need to set alarms earlier!" he replied. "i was just too good resist."

"if you weren't up to play your little games all night it wouldn't be an issue." i censored myself in front of the young kids.

"mommy what games were you and daddy playing? and without me?" kaiya frowned and sadly looked between me and eren.

"no- uhm. an adult game. uncle jean showed it to us." i smiled, lying about the true 'games' that were played last night.

"i wanna play it one day!"

"no, not until you're waaayyyyy older." eren smiled and picked her up.

"how old?" she asked. eren's smile grew larger and he spun with her in his arms. kissing her cheek and ruffling her hair.
