I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF HANGE AND LEVI ON THE plane ride home. when we would arrive there, it'd be about 8 in the morning so mikasa and armin were meeting up with us at the airport. hange was passed out on my shoulder and levi simply read a book and watched the window the entire time. i was listening to my playlist i downloaded on spotify and drifting my eyes across levi's novel in hand.

when we got to the airport i grabbed my suitcases and began to walk out to the parking lot eagerly.

"oi! watch it, i don't need you getting hit by a car." levi scolded. i was looking left and right all around to hopefully see mikasa or armin's family car. and just then slapping steps interrupted my search and i turned to see no other than mikasa.

"Y/NNNN!!!!!!!" she screamed so loudly. she tackled me to the ground in a hug and my suitcases dropped from hands. i let out a cough from the impact.

"mikasa! you can't do that, you'll hurt her!" armin worried. i began to tear up feeling my best friend's figure atop of me.

"i missed you so much, mika!" i cried into her long black hair dripping onto my face.

"you can't ever leave me again!" she demanded and removed her body from mine. i laughed and nodded, glancing to armin who smiled brightly. i got up so quick you could barley even see my action. i rammed right into armin's chest and gave him a huge hug. he hugged back tightly and just like i remembered.

"you still give the best hugs." i chuckled. mikasa joined the hug one more time.

"seeing you in person after 3 years really shows how much you've changed." mikasa stated. i looked to her and her softened features.

"same can go for you, you grew out your hair again!" i exclaimed. armin of course still had his same under-bowl-cut thing going on.

"you're so much more hot, if no one else screws you please let me." she joked. i laughed with her and elbowed her lightly. we all three removed each other from the embrace and looked to hange and levi who were silently talking between themselves. "if you want, my car's over here." mikasa pointed. we all nodded and hopped into the car.

driving past everything seemed nostalgic. seeing all the familiar buildings and new ones appeared often. i smiled as everyone else in the car talk to each other. mikasa and levi in the front two seats, hange, armin, and i in the back three. when we got to hange's house, i grabbed my suitcases. mikasa got a notification on her phone and said she had to go. i understood so armin helped carry my cases upstairs. of course i wasn't staying long, in fact, mikasa, armin, and i planned on living together.

"shit, you have so much stuff, y/n..." armin panted as he finished bringing up 2 suitcases.

"yeah, sorry about that!" i laughed, "oh! and i have something for you." i walked over to my newest suitcase and began digging through fabrics and clothes to reach and find a seashell engraved with some french and the location of the beach. i handed it to him and he thanked me greatly.

"thank you so much, y/n! i love it!" he exclaimed.

"i'm glad, i thought you wouldn't like it, maybe it looked too similar to another one in your collection, i'm not too sure." i giggled. he shook his head and smiled.

"what does it say?" he asked, i came to see the lettering and translated the phrase.

"if there's heaven for me, i'm sure it has beach attached to it." (quote by jimmy buffet, credits to google lol)

he giggled and held the shell to his heart. "truly, this is one of my favorite gifts, thank you, y/n."

"awww! armin don't make me sad!" i groaned and hugged him again.
