Chapter 103: The Big Show Begins

This is truly a surprising yet perplexing scene!

It's the middle of the night and Chatterbox is holding a flashlight with his mouth appearing in the office with the extremely precious half fingerprint in his hand. Jungkook and Lalisa are staring at him with gloomy faces but their eyes carry a sense of calmness like everything has been settled.

Under everybody's gaze, Chatterbox retrieves the flashlight from his mouth and looks at them feeling stunned, "What are you guys doing here?"

Bambam speaks up as well, "Yeah Leader, what exactly is going on? Chatterbox, what are you doing coming here in the middle of the night to get the fingerprint?"

Kim Seokjin and Taehyung are both quiet as they observe everybody else.

It's cold at night. Jungkook has his jacket collar standing up, making his handsome face seem more fair white and unapproachable. He says slowly, "Chatterbox, answer Bambam's question. What are you doing with the fingerprint?"

Under the pressure of everybody's gaze, Chatterbox puts the fingerprint back onto the table immediately. He ruffles his hair, "I suddenly discovered something important, so I came to look at the fingerprint. How did I end up alerting all of you......."

"You're still pretending?" Lalisa says in a cold voice. Her eyes are actually watery but her facial expression is determined, "Chatterbox, I never thought that it was really you." She takes a look at everyone and continues, "Last month, when Jungkook and I were in the conference room discussing Chen and Taeyong's case, he was eavesdropping outside. We started suspecting him at that time."

Chatterbox is dumbstruck. He waves his hand frantically, "I wasn't eavesdropping! That day, that day......I remember now. I just happened to pass by that day!"

He tries to explain but everybody's expression changes. Bambam still doesn't understand it fully, "Eavesdropping? Suspect? What are you suspecting Chatterbox for?"

Kim Seokjin also says in shock, "You guys..... Could you guys be suspecting him as a member of the seven-member organization?"

Taehyung continues standing quietly.

Jungkook nods. He stuffs both hands into his pockets, walks toward Chatterbox and stops within a couple of meters away from him. His eyes reveal a faint smile, "There's something that I haven't told everyone. Before Jieun died, she did not say that the killer is in the 'South of the city,' but rather.......she said the killer is by my side."

Everybody falls into silence. Chatterbox's jaw drops. Lalisa says in agreement, "Yes, we didn't tell everybody because we didn't want to alert the suspect. And this half fingerprint is very important, so we were afraid that someone would come steal it, but we wanted to use it as a test at the same time. We didn't think that we would have such an outcome. If you're not the killer, why did you come for the fingerprint in the middle of the night? Chatterbox, what else do you want to say? You can say that it was a coincidence the first time, but what about the second time?" she pauses and increases her seriousness in her voice, "You've really let us down. We actually have a killer in the Black Shield Team."

Bambam, who's standing on the side, finally understands what's going on. His face changes as he points his finger at Chatterbox, "Don't, Don't...... Don't tell me that it is really you!"

Kim Seokjin and Taehyung remain quiet.

Chatterbox looks to his left and then his right feeling as if there's nothing to prove his innocence. He says hurriedly, "No! It really isn't me! How could I possibly be the killer!"
