Author's pov...

Two weeks later...

"Shimmu, Let's go for lunch!" Katie burst into my cabin asking me to have lunch with her. She does this almost everyday.

Katie Kansas is a new friend Shimrah had found at work in these two weeks. Shimrah had mistakenly bumped into Katie while carrying some files and that's how they met. Katie was new just like Shimrah and didn't make any friends as she was an introvert. Later on, Shimrah saw how alone she was and started hanging out with her which in turn resulted with Katie opening up to Shimrah. Katie's parents died a year ago and now she lived alone at her apartment. Shimrah and Katie had gotten very close within these two weeks. Shimrah have also introduced Katie to her family and friends. Shimrah's gang welcomed Katie in their gang with open arms especially Chris, who had grown a crush on her. Katie could understand Urdu very nicely but her speaking skills were not good.

"Yeah, just a second. You stay here, I will just go give this to Mr. Bakhtiyar." Shimrah picked up a file and walked out of her cabin which was just beside Mustafa's cabin.

She knocked twice before entering Mustafa's cabin. Mustafa asked her not to knock and directly come in but still being respectful she always knocked before entering.

Mustafa was seated on the chair with his head rested back on the chair. Shimrah entered slowly and thought that Mustafa was sleeping. She unconsciously walked near his table and looked at him.

He looked so peaceful and ethereal, so calm yet intimidating. Shimrah was lost looking at the greek god in front of her.

"Isn't it bad to stare at someone when they are sleeping, Miss Khan?" Mustafa's eyes opened and a smirked formed on his lips when he noticed Shimrah panicking as soon as he sat straight looking at her.

"I-I che-checked the fi-file. You can sign it." Shimrah placed the file in front of him on the desk as she walked beside his chair. She turned around to leave but Mustafa held her wrist making her turn around in shock.

"I haven't allowed you to leave yet and also you haven't answered my question." Mustafa looked directly in Shimrah's eyes as she lowered then yo look at her feet. Her heart was beating at a fast rate making her free hand clutch the side of her kurti.

"I-I wa-wasn't star-staring." Shimrah stuttered out as she fixed her gaze on the shoes she was wearing.

"You weren't staring!? Then why were you looking at me?" Mustafa smirked as he raised his eyebrows questioning her knowing very well that she wasn't going to answer.

"I-I... It's lunch time. Should I order food for you?" Shimrah changed the topic easily which didn't go unnoticed by Mustafa. Shimrah order's lunch for him almost everyday since she has joined the company. He usually eats outside food for lunch but sometimes his mother makes lunch for him.

"No. I will be going out to have lunch with Masi now. You go and have your lunch." Mustafa chuckled at Shimrah knowing the fact that she avoided to talk on that topic. He let go of her hand and Shimrah quickly started to walk out the cabin when Mustafa stood up pulling her arm, making her collide with his chest.

Shimrah looked up to see him looking down at her still holding her arm. His hazel eyes crashed with her brown ones. They could sense an emotion in each other's eyes but weren't able to read it.

"Itna kyun bhaagi jaa rahi ho? Mai kya aapko kha jaunga akele mai jo jab dekho tab cabin se bahar nikalne ki jaldi hoti hai aap ko?" Mustafa was done with how she always ran away from him when they were alone. He still found it cute but he also wanted her to stay with him without getting uncomfortable.
