THE CONTRACT ARRANGEMENT

CHAPTER 7

Aron's POV

She is testing me I could tell by the way she was studying my face and my every move one mistake and this whole arrangement would go down the drain.

One of the disadvantages of being a business man is that one should know how to handle the pressure. From securing business deals and being at the top one must know how to handle everything that comes with it like the pressure of being watched and judged by every move you make.

And I could do exactly that pressure is one of the many things I can deal with and handle very well. If you think you can put Aron Mondragon under pressure then you have got another thing coming I don't crack and mostly understand pressure matter fact I don't crack at all.

"I know exactly what you mean Miss Rodriguez, and rest assured I'm not by any chance offended" I said reassuring her it's okay

"Well coming back to your question one would be shocked if they were to get inside my head and see how I think or what I'm thinking. I may come from a family that's is privileged, but one thing my parents instilled in my siblings and I is strong principles and values. I don't measure people by standards or levels mostly my much future wife on how to be like. Growing up my brother and I have always shared that if were to get married one day it would be to a woman of principles. A woman who knows what she wants, an ambitious woman but ambitious in a good way cause one can be ambitious ,but as time goes by that ambition can turn into greed and I don't want a woman like that" I said

"A woman who is wife material, humble, kind and selfless. Someone who knows how to put others first and lastly a woman who is not after fame and money cause although I come from a well-known family, but I'm a person who prefers to live a private life one that is not public and when I laid my eye's on Danna I just knew right then and there she was that woman" I said after this my acting skills deserved a standing ovation

"That's was some speech my dear and I must say I'm impressed, but mostly I'm touched because of how your parents raised you it's not everyday you meet people who are privileged that think like you" she said sounding very impressed

"Thank you and one more thing I love your daughter and it would mean so much to us if you were to bless our union" I said smiling and this around my smile was genuine

Standing up she walking to us and hugged us at first I was uncomfortable because my mom and sister are the only woman whom can get this close to me,but a part of me needed to adjust since we would have to act like a real couple infront of our parents.

"Both of you have my blessing,and promise me one thing" she asked I simply nodded

"Promise me that you will always love and  respect my daughter, put her first no matter what and protect her from dangers the world might throw at her" I promised her, but one thing I could never promise is love and that's something I could say out loud but I'll try

"Uhm one more thing mom,no one must know I'm married to him even Mrs Louis she can't know I know what I'm asking you to do is hard. The world will know he is married, but to whom that will remain secret please mom" Danna said and that's the first time she spoke after being quiet for a while

"No problem sweetie you can trust me on that" Miss Rodriguez said

After that long conversation,we had dinner the food was delicious Miss Rodriguez does know her way around the kitchen.

It was time for me to leave Miss Rodriguez told Danna to walk me out and I'm glad she did cause I needed to talk to her in private I had already bid her mom goodbye.

Reaching my car I turned around and said "Miss Rodriguez tomorrow you will be meeting my parents. My driver Adam will be arrive at six pm to pick you up and when you have arrived Adam will notify you all you have to do is wait in the car for me and I'll come and get you so we will walk in together"

"One more thing tomorrow the real test begins meaning our acting skills will be put to the test for real my parents are a lovey dovey couple and they will definitely expect that from us" I said "I know it will be uncomfortable for the both of us since will have to be at a really close proximity, but we have to try" she nodded understand what I was getting at

"Your mom right now is watching us from the window so we can't just nod goodbye at each other I'll kiss you on the cheek and leave don't forget to smile" her eyes grew wide she was shocked but the position we in right now we don't have much of a choice

"Look Rodriguez you signed up for the this so you don't have much of a choice she understood what I was saying" I said

Slowing bending down I kissed her on the cheek it was more like a peck she smiled and I left right after that. Adam drove away,I loved Miss Rodriguez's house because it had a none see through fence meaning no one would recognize my car pull up and also my windows are dark.

I had reminded myself that I had to call my parents to tell them I'm coming over for dinner tomorrow and I have a surprise my mom will be so happy. I love my parents so much, but I'm happy that thanks to this arrangement I'll be able to get them of my back and focus on the company and the deal I'll be awarded soon.
