I woke up in the morning, did my morning routine, and took roughly 10 minutes to dress up.

(The hijab style)

I quickly put on some concealer, blush, mascara, and tinted chapstick. After looking at myself in the mirror, I was satisfied and quickly went downstairs. I again made breakfast for all of us.

20 minutes later

Right now I was sitting in the car, my dad was dropping me off at college. He seemed extremely happy. He kept on smiling. There was silence until my dad spoke.

"Ibrahim was very happy! Your engagement will be in 15 days. Make sure to buy the dress and the stuff you need. I'll give the money to your mother. So your sisters can buy some stuff too. After all, there's gonna come happiness in our house after so many years. Alhamdulillah!"
My dad told me while glancing at me in between. He was smiling.

15 days?! Oh my god! Great! Why did he have to tell me this? My day is ruined! He kept glancing at me while driving, waiting impatiently for an answer or even a reaction.

I gave him the FAKEST smile, I could form. "Alright, thank you, Dad!" I said. He sighed and smiled in satisfaction. Soon we arrived at the college and I got off.

Right, I have to face him too. He knows what happened overnight, Right? Bruh, of course, he does. Uncle Ibrahim doesn't seem to force relationships on their child.
Like my dad.
And even Ayan doesn't seem to be a guy who let his parents control his life. I sighed and went to my friend group.

11 am

We were heading to the cafeteria. I didn't see him till now. I wonder if he even came to school today. Ugh! Why do I care? I Don't Wanna see his face anyways. Or do I?
Okay okay, that's enough Aisha. Get hold of yourself.

We soon ordered some food and sat at our table. My friends kept talking and I just ate my food in silence. They asked me multiple times if I was ok. I just told them I had a headache. That wasn't a lie, I did have a headache.
Still, I decided to tell them about the engagement later.
