We've been sat around talking for a few hours now. I must admit I've enjoyed this. Catching up after all these years, hearing the stories of my cousins and brothers, it's nice.
However Federico continues to glare at me from across the room. He hasn't said much at all, he's just staring. I feel like saying something but I don't want to start any problems, not yet at least.
"So Anna" My uncles voice snaps me out of my staring contest with Rico.
"Did you have a good life, with your foster family" he asks and I freeze. Immediately Alex's head snaps to mine. He's already suspicious of me, I can't afford to slip up.
"Ye..yeah it was good" shit why did I stutter. Lorenzo silently observes me with a frown on his face noticing my stutter.
"I'm sorry for your loss by the way" My uncle Angelo mutters sending a curt nod my way.
"It's okay" I reply back quietly just hoping he'll change the subject.
There's an awkward silence that lingers in the air for a bit before Angelo decides to speak up again. "You know what, it's been a long day for Arianna I think we should head home" he states standing up and picking up a sleeping Amias. Yes the child fell asleep I have no idea how.
"But dad" the twins let out a huff along with Kai, rem and Reign.
"Yeah zio can't you stay a while longer" Malakai Pouts looking at his uncle with supposed puppy eyes.
"You look constipated" I state with a smirk causing both sets of twins to laugh. Malakai glares at me before losing the pout.
"You'll see the boys at school anyways" Angelo states with a shrug before walking towards the door.
The boys say their goodbyes with bro hugs and whatnot and I hug 3 of the 5 boys. At this point I'm too scared to go near him let along talk to him.
He's a mystery to me. This is the first time I've met him, well from what I remembered, but something isn't right. He seems down, or dissociative. I don't know, maybe it's nothing and he's had a day. I just hope he opens up to me at some point.
"Are you okay Arianna" Alonzo's voice comes through from somewhere near me. I turn around to find him staring at me curiously. I send him a nod.
"You've been staring at the wall for a while now" he continues. I didn't even realise I zoned out.
"Yeah I'm fine.. I was just thinking about something" I sigh before walking over to a couch and sitting down.
"Whatchu thinking bout" Reign slots down next to me wrapping an arm around my shoulder along with remy on the other side.
"Federico" I answer honestly. A tense silence falls over the 7 men. No one answers me.
"Why's he so.. i don't know down. Unless he just hates me-" my father cuts me off.
