Sharmili and Sid were sitting in the hostel premises having a conversation.. girls are not allowed in the boy's hostel and vice versa so this was the only place for their meet-up

Sharmili: "...These exams are going to be the death of me."

Sid: "Ugh, tell me about it. But hey, at least we're in it together, right?"

Sharmili: "True. So, listen, there's something I need to tell you. It's about Shubman..."

Sid: "Oh, khobor bol. What's going on with you two?" (Tell me the news)

Sharmili: *hesitates* "Well, it's just that... I found out that Shubman was actually nervous about expressing his feelings for me."

Sid: *smirks* "No way! But he seems so confident on the field."

Sharmili: "I know, right? It's surprising. Ishan told me that Shubman was hesitant to acknowledge his love for me because he didn't want to mess things up."

Sid: "Well, that's unexpected. But you know what they say, jealousy works wonders."

Sharmili: *skeptical* "Jealousy? What do you mean?"

Sid: "Think about it, Sharmili. If Shubman sees you getting attention from other guys, it might just make him realize what he's missing out on."

Sharmili: *pauses* "I don't know, Sid. It just feels wrong to play games like that."

Sid: "I get it, but sometimes a little push is all it takes. Plus, it'll give Shubman a little nudge to make his move."

Sharmili: *still unsure* "I guess... It's just not really my style. Thik hobe eta kora?" (Would it be right to do so?)

Sid: "Fair enough. Just think about it, okay? Sometimes, a little outside perspective can make all the difference."

Sharmili: *nods* "Yeah, I'll think about it. Thanks for listening, Sid."

Sid: "Anytime, Sharmili. Now, let's just have our meal nahole khabar sesh hoye jabe." (No more food would be left)

As Sharmili and Sid continued their conversation, she couldn't shake the feeling of reluctance about Sid's suggestion. Despite his persuasive arguments, she wasn't sure if playing games with Shubman's emotions was the right approach. However, she couldn't deny the allure of the possibility that it might just work.

Soon Sharmili and Sid walked towards the canteen, chatting animatedly about their day, when Sharmili's phone rang. Seeing Shubman's name on the caller ID, she couldn't help but feel a flutter of excitement. Shubman was calling ??? Really??? She quickly answered the call, her heart racing.

Sharmili: *excitedly* "Hello, Shubman?"

Shubman: *smirking* "Hey, beautiful. Kaisi ho?"

Sharmili: *blushing* "Main theek hoon, aur tum?"

Shubman: "Main toh tumhari awaaz sun kar hi theek ho gaya."

Sharmili: *giggling* "Acha? Tum bhi na, bilkul filmy ho gaye ho."

Their flirtatious banter continued, each compliment exchanged sending a rush of warmth through Sharmili's veins. Just as Shubman was about to reveal his surprise visit to Kolkata, Sid couldn't resist but intervene, seizing the opportunity to make his move.

Sid: loudly "Hey, Sharmili, don't forget to tell your Shubman about that guy who was asking for your number today."

Sharmili: whispering "Sid, I'm on the phone!"

Shubman: "Who was aski.."

Sid: * interrupting loudly from the background* "Arre, Sharmili, chal na, kuch khaane chalte hain. Bohot bhuk lagi hai mujhe." (He intentionally spoke in Hindi so that Shubman would understand)

Sharmili: *shushing Sid* "Sid, I'm talking over phone right now. Tum chup raho."

Shubman: *confused* "Kya hua? Kuch problem hai kya?"

Sharmili: *apologetically* "Nahi, Shubman, nothing. Bas yeh Sid ka drama hai. You ignore him.. kya keh rahe the tum?"

Shubman: *excitedly* "Main... actually, main Kolkata aa raha hoon Saturday ko. Socha tha hum..."

Before Shubman could finish his sentence, Sid grabbed the phone from Sharmili's hand, his interruption evident to Shubman.

Sid: "Sorry, Shubman, par Sharmili ko abhi kuch urgent kaam hai. Baad mein call karna, thik hai?"

Shubman: *frustrated* "Par... theek hai, Sid. Baad mein baat karenge."

As Shubman ended the call, a wave of irritation washed over him. He couldn't help but feel annoyed at Sid's interference. However, he swallowed his frustration, realizing that until he officially acknowledged their relationship, he had no claim over Sharmili. With a sigh, he made a mental note to have a serious conversation with her when they met in Kolkata.

Meanwhile, Sharmili couldn't shake off the feeling of guilt for cutting the call short with Shubman. She turned to Sid, a mixture of annoyance and gratitude evident in her expression.

Sharmili: "Sid, why did you have to interrupt the call like that? I was talking to Shubman."

Sid: *shrugs* "Sorry, Sharmili, but you know how it is. I was hungry, and the canteen is closing soon. Plus, I couldn't resist the chance to tease you a bit."

Sharmili: *sighs* "I understand, but still... It's not like we can't eat later. Shubman wanted to tell me something important."

Sid: *grins* "Oh, come on, Sharmili. Kothao chole jacche naki o. You can talk to him later. Besides, a little teasing never hurt anyone." (Is he running away?)

Sharmili: *smirks* "I suppose you're right. But don't think you're off the hook that easily. Dekhe nebo toke pore." (I'll make sure to get back at you for this)

As they made their way to the canteen, Sharmili couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation for Shubman's upcoming visit to Kolkata. She knew that their conversation would be a turning point in their relationship, and she couldn't wait to see what the future held for them.
