Sharmili was sitting on the hospital bed, her thoughts drifting as she gazed out the window. The gentle hum of the hospital filled the room, interrupted only by the occasional beep of medical equipment. Suddenly, she heard a soft knock on the door, pulling her attention away from the world outside.

"Come in," she called out, wondering who could be visiting her at this hour. As the door creaked open, Sharmili's eyes widened in surprise. Standing before her was a woman in a sleek black jumpsuit, holding a vibrant bouquet of flowers and a basket of fresh fruits. It took Sharmili a moment to register the visitor's identity – it was Shahneel Gill, Shubman's sister.

"Hello, Sharmili," Shahneel greeted warmly, stepping into the room with a gentle smile. "I hope you're feeling better."

Sharmili's heart raced with disbelief and curiosity. "Shahneel di! What a surprise!!!" she exclaimed, her voice tinged with amazement.

Shahneel approached the bed, setting the bouquet and fruits on the nearby table. "I hope I'm not intruding, Tum so rahi thi na?" she said, taking a seat beside Sharmili.

"Areh nahi Di I was just scrolling Instagram" Sharmili said in a warm tone. "Umm Di.." Sharmili was cut off by Shahneel "Call me Shahneel, Di bolne ki koi zarurat nahi hai". Sharmili smiled and restated "Shahneel.. err how do you know me?"

"How do I know you? Seriously?? Shubman has been talking about you non-stop ever since you guys started dating."

Sharmili's jaw dropped in astonishment. "He has?" she asked, her eyes widening with disbelief. She also used the word dating.. did he tell her that they were dating?

Shahneel nodded, a fond smile playing on her lips. "Yes, he's quite taken with you. Like agar mumkin hota na toh wo yahi reh jata tumhare theek hone tak."

Sharmili's heart swelled with a mixture of emotions – surprise, joy, and a touch of nervousness. "I... I had no idea he..." she murmured, her cheeks flushing slightly.

Shahneel reached out, gently squeezing Sharmili's hand. "He loves you Sharmili"

Tears welled up in Sharmili's eyes as she felt overwhelmed by her words "You are serious?" she whispered, her voice trembling with gratitude.

"Haan I'm totally serious. Aur mujhse bhi zyada serious wo hai tumhare baare mein. You won't believe the next thing I'm gonna say" Sharmili looked at her with curiosity in her eyes.

"Sharmili, Shubman ne na mummy ko bhi tumhari photo dikhai hai.. like it seemed he wanted to say- Mummy ye apki hone waali bahu hai" Shahneel mocked Shubman and burst out laughing

Shahneel's laughter filled the room, a bright, infectious sound that lifted Sharmili's spirits. Despite her surprise, Sharmili couldn't help but chuckle along with her.

"Sach mein?? He showed my photo to your mom?" Sharmili asked, her eyes wide with disbelief.

Shahneel nodded, still smiling. "Yes, he did! Can you believe it? He's head over heels for you, Sharmili."

Sharmili felt a rush of warmth spread through her chest at Shahneel's words. "I... I don't know what to say," she admitted, her voice soft with emotion.

Shahneel leaned closer, her expression earnest. "You don't have to say anything, Sharmili. Just know that Shubman cares about you deeply, and so do I. If you ever need anything, we're here for you."

Tears shimmered in Sharmili's eyes as she met Shahneel's gaze. "Thank you, Shahneel. This means more to me than you can imagine. Yeh sab kitna unexpected hai. Maine to sapne mein bhi nahi.... nahi shayad sapne mein socha tha..... ki Shubman Gill, The National Crush kabhi mujhse pyaar karega"

Shahneel squeezed Sharmili's hand gently, offering her a reassuring smile. "Mujhe pata hai. Tum Shubman ki zindagi ka ek hissa ho Sharmili. You're part of our family now."

Sharmili felt a surge of gratitude wash over her, accompanied by a newfound sense of belonging. "I'm so grateful to have met you, Shahneel," she said, her voice filled with sincerity.

The two women sat in companionable silence, the weight of their conversation hanging in the air like a promise of brighter days to come. And as Sharmili glanced at the bouquet of flowers on the table, she couldn't help but feel a glimmer of hope stirring within her heart – hope for a future filled with love, laughter, and the unwavering support of those who cared for her.
