Professor ozpin observes the interrogation of (Y/N) Ronsten with much interest. Seeing the demonstration of skill and talent in his previous engagement against each other.

"I'm not going to tell you where I came from!" (Y/N) yelled


"Well you're definitely not from atlas either" said gylnda being irritated


"Well from my point I would be from atlas-"


"Now now Mr Ronsten,we both know that you are not from atlas or even remnant" said ozpin entering the room

"Are you suggesting I'm some form of alien?" (Y/N) growled


"Of course not however your shuttlecraft seems to be capable of surviving many things relative to space without materials found on this planet"

Sighing (Y/N) shifted in his seat "I will not deny that, I'm not going to free for awhile am I?"


"Oh no in fact...would you like to join my school?" Said ozpin adjusting his glasses


"I'm sorry?"


"I believe that you would be able to fully utilise the fighting technic that you apparently developed without noticing" said ozpin smirking


"I'm not sure sir" said (Y/N) leaning back in his chair and folding his arms


"I'm sure you and your friend has seen many things around the galaxy however you would not last very long here, however you have a chance here."ozpin said still smiling


*The next day*


"You did What?"exclaimed Halsey


"It's a perfectly reasonable choice Gabriel besides even if we could get the engines online it doesn't work in this world"


"So you saw this the only way out?"


"Yeah and I think getting scholarships is just the cherry on top"


"Fine" grumbles Halsey


"Come on" (Y/N) said swinging his arms around him "we didn't manage to finish the academy due to the war,and even after that we were so busy trying to rebuild the federation we never went back to school"


"Yeah I know"


"Great you've see the light now let's go and get our stuff from the shuttle we might not have that chance when the new students come in next week"


"Yeah, sure" said Halsey with a heavy heart


*later that night*


Steven was doing a regular maintenance to his weapon The arc of element when he was disturbed by a call


"Hello?" He said nonchalantly


"Mr rose?" Came gylnda's voice


"Uh yes professor goodwitch?" Said Steven in a more formal tone.


"Professor ozpin would like to meet you in the interrogation room...immediately"

"Uh y-yes mam I'll be there immediately"


Ending the call Steven wonders why would ozpin call him to the room on such a late night.



Going around the Steven hear's gylnda ranting at someone inside sending shivers down his spine down his neck. He remembers the time when gylnda scolded him for not doing his work. Listening intently to the yelling he manages to catch a few sentences from gylnda

"If it were up to me, you'd be sent home... With a pat on the back....And a slap on the wrist!"


Stepping in after ozpin he suddenly realised that the person was his sister... ruby rose.


"Big bro!" Ruby screams in excitement wrapping her arms around his arm

"Hi ruby" he smiles "did you cause a little trouble?"


"Aww they started it" whines ruby


"Ruby Rose..."ozpin interrupts setting down a plate of cookies "...you have silver eyes"


"Uh, um" ruby starts


"So! You learnt fighting like this from your uncle?" Ozpin continues disgregarding his previous question


"Yes...in signal academy"


"So I've noticed." Setting down his cup of coffee "And what is an adorable girl such as yourself doing at a school designed to train warriors?"


"Well... I want to be a Huntress." Said ruby stuffing her mouth with cookies


"So you want to slay monsters?"

"Yeah! I only have two more years of training left at Signal! And then I'm going to apply to Beacon!" Ruby enthusiastically started "

"You see, my sister's starting there this year, and she's trying to become a Huntress, and I'm trying to become a Huntress 'cause I wanna help people. My parents always taught us to help others, so I thought, Hey, I might as well make a career out of it!" Ruby gushed


" I mean the police are alright, but Huntsmen and Huntresses are just so much more romantic and exciting and cool and really, gosh, you know!"


"Slow down ruby" said Steven calmly enjoying his cookie


"Do you know who I am?" Ozpin questioned


"You're Professor Ozpin. You're the headmaster at Beacon. My brother used to talk about you all the time."


"Jeez ruby don't tell him that!" Steven whispered loudly


"So" ozpin says still smiling " You want to come to my school?"


"More than anything." Ruby passionately responded


"Mr rose" said ozpin


"Yes sir?"


"Base on your professional opinion do you believe ms rose here have the skills and courage needed to study in beacon?"


"Yes sir I believe that more than anything"


Ignoring glynda's silent disapproval in the back ozpin stood up and says "very well welcome to my school ms rose" Turing around and leaving the room


Ruby smiles, wide-eyed and open-mouthed.


"She got herself it trouble and you let her into the school?" Gylnda said disapproving


"Come on gylnda You be seen her skills and her willingness to follow code


"Yeah but..."


"It will be alright gylnda" ozpin assures "it'll be alright."

Thanks guys for dropping in I know you're probably asking where's the ruby x reader parts? Well I usually like to build up my stories until it feels that the characters are well developed especially if you can't see the person on screen. Not to mention many of the first seasons of rwby started as dialogsand I was going for that feel however if you hate that then please leave comments on what I can work on or what the new characters can do I thank you.
