CHAPTER 3

PARTNER

Maria Dana's POV

I am waiting for Sophia outside the campus.

"Heyyy Dana! Ang aga mo ha. May gusto ka bang makita kaya napaaga ang dating mo?" Saad niya. Alam kong nang-aasar lang siya.

"Nope. Napaaga lang ang alis namin ni dad dahil may aasikasuhin siya sa opisina." I said.

"Tara na nga. Pumasok na tayo." At hinablot ang kaniyang kamay at pumasok na rin kami sa campus.

"At last. Nandito na tayo sa room. Kakahingal umakyat." Pia said and uminom ng kaniyang tubig.

After 1 hour, our class started.

"Good morning class. I know, that you know na papalapit na ang school fest natin. I want to know kung sino ang pambato natin sa fashion show. Nakapagdecide na ba kayo?" Ms. Gonzales asked. And the whole starred at me.

"Oh... Ms. Dela Vega. Ikaw na naman ang ire-represent ng section?" Ms. Gonzales ask.

"Yes ma'am. Siya nalang po. For sure mananalo tayo niyan." One of my classmates said.

"Alright. And who's our male representative for the fashion show? Kailangan ng partner ni Ms. Dela Vega." Ms. Gonzales said.

"Eh kung yung transferee natin ma'am? Si Devere po." Sagot naman ng isang kaklase namin.

"Mr. Montejo. You are willing to join?" Ms. Gonzales ask.

"No ma'am. I have a game on the first day of the fest." Devere said.

"Well. It's not a problem. The fashion show will be on the second day of the school fest." Ms. Gonzales replied.

Our school fest is a 3-day event. It means, it has a lots of activities that the school prepared. And one of that is the fashion show.

"Ma'am si Devere nalang po. Para di na tayo mahirapang pumili. Isa pa, bagay naman sila." Sagot ng kaklase namin.

Nakarinig ako ng asaran galing sa mga kaklase namin at isa na don at namumunong si Sophia. Tsk...

"Okay class, stop. We decided that Ms. Dela Vega and Mr. Montejo is our representative in the fashion show." Ms. Gonzales said and the whole class agree.

Ms. Gonzales continue her discussion.

After the class, Sophia and I go to cafeteria for lunch.

"Heyy Maria Dana." Ethan said as he stand infront of me. We are waiting for our order.

"Maria Dana. May sasalihan ka ba sa school fest?" He asked, nang makaupo kami sa bakanteng table. Kasama ko rin sina Sophia at kasama niya rin ang mga kaibigan niya.

"Yes. The fashion show. And call me Dana. It's too long if you call me Maria Dana." I answered and start eating.

"Oh. Haha. Okay Dana. The fashion show? Hmmm... who will be your partner?" He asked. Sasagot na sana ako ng nakita ko si Devere na papalapit sa aming direksiyon.

Ibinaling ko nalang sa kanila ang tingin ko.

"Our transferee. He will be my partner." I answered and finish my food.

"Who?" He asked again.

"Devere. Devere Montejo." I answered. Luminga-linga ako at nakita ko si Devere sa isang lamesa di kalayuan sa amin at kasama niya si Krisha.

"Oh... that man. Diba siya yung boyfriend ni Krisha? Siguro alam mo namang magkaklase kami?" Saad nito at tumango nalang ako.

"Nagtransfer lang talaga yan dahil sa girlfriend niya." Ethan said and I didn't bother to answer.
