The days we're passing by quicker than ever. It was now in the middle of fall that Y/N had to go back to Hogwarts for fifth year. The school that her parents once worshipped their whole lives.

It was an expectation to be the best at the school. An expectation y/n had always struggled with. Though, she had always tried her best to be perfect. But was that even enough?

In her family, you simply couldn't try your best. You needed to be the best. It was a harsh rule she lived up to. A rule that will only get her parents attention.

Y/N's eyes closed momentarily. She let out a calm sigh as the train was driving. The sigh could mean anything to other people, but for y/n, it meant something more.

The sky thundered heavily, almost startling y/n on her deep concentration.

Her eyes slowly opened, a blurry scene upon her. But what was more horrifying was catching a figure in front of her. Due to the sky, the lighting was dark in the train. The person who was standing in front of her seemed like a thief in Y/N's eyes.

She quickly rubbed her eyes, and looked back to see. Thankfully, the lighting was a bit better, as well as her sight. The image of the person appeared to be a girl. Lights were flickering behind her, making y/n slightly nauseous.

"Excuse me, but I left my book in here." A thick british accent perked y/n's ears. The girl had brown hair, though it looked darker during this time. As well as her eyes were the lightest of brown.

"Oh.. okay." She awkwardly said.

The unknown girl took this as a gesture to come in and get it, so her two feet quickly moved in and walk towards where the book was. The reader slightly moved to the corner while watching the girl rummage through the seat.

"N-nice weather, huh?" Y/N surprisingly said, slightly stuttering in the process. The question spoke through y/n's mouth casually, that it took her a while to figure out what she had said.

She didn't know why she didn't kept her mouth shut, any other person would. So why didn't she? She was an average girl attending Hogwarts. Why couldn't she act average? Maybe she was desperate on having friends. Maybe.

The unknown girl was surprised on hearing that question, and turned towards Y/N. Since they were in a closer distance, the readers features were more noticeable to the brown haired girl. She couldn't help but think how pretty she was actually up-close.

She normally didn't think this way.

".. It's storming outside."

Y/N became flustered,

"Yeah! I know.. it's just that- I like stormy days?"

The reader was having trouble interacting with the brown-haired girl. Perhaps it was because of the stern look placed on her eyes. She hadn't seen anyone who had that look before.

Though, beneath those stern eyes of the brown-haired girl, was a heart that was slightly increasing due to the flustered reader.

The only thought that came through her mind was how endearing a person could look when flustered.

Specifically, the reader.

The girl chuckled lightheartedly, surprising y/n.

"You sure are quite an awkward one, aren't you?"

Y/N nervously smiled through her
shocked gaze: "I have trouble interacting with people, which I guess explains why I said that."

The stern girl took out her right arm, extending it towards the reader.

"The names Hermione Granger. I'm a fifth year at Hogwarts. What about you?"

The way that the girl— Hermione spoke seemed to have a tone of elegance.

She must be a Ravenclaw, Y/N thought.

"I'm Y/N L/N. I'm also a fifth year, as well as a Hufflepuff."

Hermione quirked her right eyebrow; "Oh? I would've guessed you're a Hufflepuff. I'm a Gryffindor."

Y/N's lips turned sideways.

Gryffindor? Perhaps I could see that coming from her.

While Y/N was thinking to herself, Hermione couldn't help but think confusingly:

Why hadn't she seen her at Hogwarts?

"It is nice meeting you." A warm smile gazed through the readers tender lips, her e/c eyes squinting as she smiled.

Once again, the Gryffindor girl couldn't help but blush lightly.

"Right. How about I introduce you to my friends?"
