I walked along the path through the garden with my Angels dainty fingers entwined with my own. It's warm and sunny out, perfect for an afternoon stroll. We've been cooped up in that damn hospital room for way too long, it's nice to finally have some fresh air.

The hummingbirds flitted around, their wings invisible to the naked eye, appearing to be floating over the flowers as they drank the sweet nectar.

Butterflies rested on the petals and bumblebees pollinated the multi-colored buds. I watch as she skipped and twirled, giggling and smiling at the beauty of it all.

The sun shone bright and glistened off the small lake at the edge of my property. A family of rabbits hopped out of their den, fur white as the clouds in the sky. She kneeled and pet the small creatures, running her hands over their soft fur. Their whiskers tickled her fingers as they sniffed, looking for treats.

She pulled some mint leaves out of her dress pocket and fed them the treats, letting them nibble it from her hands.

I kiss the top of her head and led her down the path towards the lake. Squealing in delight, she runs ahead of me in excitement when she sees a mother duck and her babies swimming along the shore.

Suddenly, I hear a deafening rumble and the ground begins to quake. I fall to my knees, catching myself from falling to the ground.

Panicking, I whip my head around in search of my Angel and when I finally see her, I watch horrified when the ground began to break beneath her feet. The earth crumbling into dust as it split open. I couldn't move, an unseen force immobilizing me, holding me back from rescuing my Angel.

"Run!" I shouted. "Baby, you need to run! Come to me!"

Her head snapped in my direction, and screamed my name, "Warrick!"
