"Hurry up!" she squealed, tugging my hand as she fails hilariously at dragging me towards the funnel cake stand.

I can't believe I let my sweet little pup talk me into leaving the house and be around... people.

It's all Devil's fault really, if he never took her out to dinner, she would have never noticed the Ferris wheel lit up over the tree line. She had asked me about it this morning when I woke up with her tucked into my arms, I had to fucking google it because I had no clue what she talking about.

Then she saw the fair advertisement pop up on my phone and snatched the damn thing from my hands and scrolled through the page.

I knew I was doomed when her eyes lit up like saucers before looking up at me with those damned beautiful puppy eyes.

Yup. I blame Devil.

Now, I'm trapped here in a human-infested cluster fuck that smells like hot dogs, popcorn, and sweat-stained machinery. Thank fuck it's winter time so people are covered in layers and I don't have to risk there being any skin-on-skin contact.

Or else there'd be about a dozen carcasses littering the fairgrounds from all the dipshits who've bumped into me since we arrived... and that overly flirty girl at the ticket booth.

There was a relatively long line at the funnel cake stand. We passed a few stands already that sold funnel cakes but my pup insisted on this one because they also sold elephant ears and something called cotton candy.
