A/N: This chapter as a whole can be skipped if you don't want to read Rowan being tortured. There won't be anything vital to the story that you would miss if you jump straight to Chapter 40. However, at the end of this chapter, will be a cute moment between Baby and Phantom "Wolfie". I will have it separated using a bunch of ☁️☁️☁️ as a border so you know when it's safe to read ha-ha
A/N 2: I must preface that I am NOT a violent person and I personally wouldn't read anything like this of my own volition. I did A LOT of research before writing all of my torture scenes. I have pages of notes with everything mentioned below. That includes all of the equipment used, how they are used, and the human body's natural reaction to experiencing them. This chapter was specially crafted to be as realistic as possible with parts even I had a hard time stomaching as I wrote it. I just had to keep reminding myself that this wasn't real, just a figment of my dark and fucked up imagination.
Chapter 40 will be nothing but sunshine and rainbows for all of you who have chosen to stomach reading this chapter. Hopefully, it will restore your faith in me as an author and as a decent human being.
