"Marinette, hold still. Unless you want me to ruin your make-up," Chloe said to Marinette.

"I'm sorry, I'm just so jumpy at the moment," Marinette responded to her.

"You have nothing to worry about. You have already gone to other dates with Damian," Chloe said while finishing up Marinette's eyeshadow.

"But those weren't official dates, this is an official official date. Knowing me, I can embarrass myself at any moment," Marinette said.

Chloe laughed.

"Mari, you've already embarrassed yourself plenty of times in front of him and he still likes you, you have nothing to worry about. And if he has a problem with it then he has me to deal with, just because he was a trained assassin doesn't mean anything, I can still take him down," Chloe said. Alix humming in agreement.

Marinette smiled at Chloe's words, still looking in the direction Chloe had her head tilted.

"Okay and done. Do you want lashes or just mascara?" Chloe asked once she finished the last stroke of eyeshadow pigment on Marinette's eyelids.

Marinette shook her head.

"Nope. You remember what happened last time I wore lashes," Marinette said shivering.

Alix started bursting out laughing.

"And that's one of the reasons I won't be wearing any makeup," Alix said.

Marinette pouted.

"It wasn't my fault," Marinette said.

"Yeah we can all blame Kim for that," Chloe said.

"Okay and finished," Chloe continued, closing the mascara tube.

Marinette turned to the side to see herself in the mirror.

"Oh wow, thank you, Chlo."

"No problem. Now head downstairs before you end up late for your own date," Chloe said.

"Right, what time is it?" Marinette got up looking at her phone then started looking for her purse to find Chloe handing it to her.

"Thanks. Tikki, Kaalki, I'm leaving."

"Coming Marinette," Tikki said as she and Kaalki went inside the purse, in case they were (and hopefully they weren't) needed during the night at the gala and needed to leave for Paris.

Marinette was in the elevator almost down to the lobby. When she saw the doors open, she walked to the entrance thinking she was early but she saw Damian standing there by his car.

He was looking at something until she saw him turn his head to look at her. His eyes had met hers. To Damian it felt like they were meeting for the very first time.

He felt the world stop around him and slow down as if the people around him even had his attention. His sole attention was to the girl walking towards him.

She shyly stood in front of him. She had been trying to get his attention for the last minute but it seemed that Damian was in a trance.

She snapped a few times in front of his eyes had seemed to do the trick.

He coughed.

"You look, um, you look very beautiful," he stuttered out, still in shock at how she could go from beautiful to even more beautiful. He would never believe that would be possible but here is this girl, standing in front of him proving him wrong.

Marinette kissed the side of his cheek.

"Thank you. You look handsome too," she told him as her face got a bit red.
