Summary:

Review:
Finally I found a story with faceslap again. It is not a direct faceslap, most of it are the enemies wailing in regret and envy for MC. ML is always helping MC, while MC is actually not stupid but she didn't have power since she is alone.
MC met ML on her wedding day, she use ML to flee from her marriage after she humiliate the ex-husband family. MC met ML again when she is on the way to border. She was helped by her second uncle to go to border but the guards abandoned her in bandit lair. MC went to ML who disguised himself as taoist priest. MC ask ML for help, he took MC away. ML took her back to capital and place her in daoist temple where his mother reside. ML mother stayed in daoist temple to pray for ML because ML is sickly when he was a child.
ML keep helping MC behind her back but MC knew it was him who help her. MC made the ex husband and her second uncle family in bad reputation due to her dowry. The second uncle was despised by people and accused he killed his niece for the dowry. While the ex husband family was accused to be ungrateful and bullying the orphan. When MC is back, they make amend to MC.
The ex husband mother is actually ML elder sister. So ML should be MC uncle even if she is divorced. ML didn't say his identity because he is afraid MC will dislike him. ML only said it after he knew his feeling and MC already like him. ML took her to border and forced MC brother and father to come out. MC father and brother is hiding as bandit because of  the emperor decree to lure out the enemies.
MC was left again because her father, brother and ML went into war. After the war won, MC went back to capital with ML. In the capital, MC ex husband got engage with eldest princess daughter. The daughter hate MC so she scheme when MC go to the banquet in the palace. The emperor found out and remove the daughter title as county princess. MC is waiting her family to come back after war. ML is also waiting because he want to propose MC.
ML father hated ML and ML mother even though ML is the only one who bring glory to the family. ML mother move out from the family and stay in a prince residence. After MC married ML, the emperor announce ML as prince from his third brother, Rui Wang. Rui Wang love ML mother at first sight but current ML father, Ye family propose to ML mother first. Not sure if ML father chose to marry ML mother because he made mistake and knew Rui Wang love ML mother, he hope Rui Wang can save his family. The mtl is a bit hard to understand. Then after gave birth to 4 children, somehow Rui Wang have relationship with ML mother. Either he was drugged or ML father drugged ML mother and gave her to Rui Wang. ML father want to kill ML but Rui Wang threaten him. Rui Wang died in battle, he wrote in blood that it is his mistake and ML mother and Ml should not be blamed. The emperor restore ML title as Rui Wang and ML mother become the old madam Rui Wang.
