Author's POV

The grey, dusky clouds were slowly yet steadily taking over the horizon as they covered more than half of the distance. The weather was already pleasant since the morning but no one expected it to be raining cats and dogs, especially in this hot weather of June.

Now it was almost seven at the night and the darkness was all over the surrounding. Due to the massive rain, the area suddenly became barren too. Shaiq had an estimation of eight in his mind; the time they would be at the farmhouse but due to the abrupt change in weather, he had to slow down his speed too. Still, he was sure they would be there at about nine.

He already took permission from his mother that he wanted to take Zainab to that place and she happily conceded to it. He had an idea to spend some time alone with her and that farmhouse would give him the perfect opportunity. After all that was the place, he recognized how much he loved his Zaini!

Shaiq already packed his and Zainab's things with the help of Nofil in the morning when she was not at home and sent them to the farmhouse. Zainab didn't know about anything at all. He wanted to give her a surprise. That's why he didn't inform her of the actual place when he dropped her at her office.

After all, he waited for her for so long.

He wanted to make up for everything which went wrong in the past and which starved both of them of their happy moments together. This plan also included that he would ask her to stop working and just enjoy her life to the fullest. She already exhausted herself enough by doing jobs for these two decades of her life and now he didn't want her to tire herself more.

The rain had now started becoming slow and now the darkness of night begin concealing the light of the sun. Shaiq turned his face and looked at Zainab who was dozing off. Seeing her pouty lips brought a smile to his face and he automatically started reminiscing the sweet moment of today's morning when he felt her beautiful lips on his own. How much he loved that particular instant and wanted it to just freeze so that he could never be able to part away from her.

He slightly rubbed her ruddy cheek with his thumb at which she squirmed a bit but still didn't awake. She might hadn't been able to complete her sleep last night. With the smile still on his lip, he returned his full focus to the road. Her confession from a while ago was lingering in his ears and finally, he was feeling relieved and warmed up.

He waited, waited, and waited to hear these words from her, and now when she finally said them, he was feeling like been shooted shot to the 7th sky. He was grinning crazily since then, like a young boy whose crush finally noticed him.

He didn't know that his friend Zainab would lay this kind of effect on him. Where he would dream about her with both open and closed eyes.

No...he knew actually. But never acknowledged his feelings for the fear that it would taint their friendship. He had been in love with her since he first time knew the meaning of love.

He ultimately got his Zaini back and he was not grateful enough to Allah Almighty for this.

He came out of his thoughts when he heard Zainab's sneezing. He glanced at her in adoration.

"Are you awake?" He asked her.

Zainab scratched her nose as she looked out of the car and then at him. She smiled nervously. "I didn't know when I went to sleep. We still haven't reached?"

"We are just about to reach in a few minutes," he answered.

"Oh..." She nodded her head as she rubbed her both together. "I am still curious to know that place."
