Chapter 60 - You can't avoid your past

Elektra's pov:

Seeing Alexander again was a big shock to me. For over a year I lived my life erasing every memory of him and somehow he comes back with the intention to claim what is rightfully his. After a year and a half of ignoring me, he came back to claim me as if I were a cursed object to him. Who does he think he is?

Last night I accepted Andros' invitation for dinner and decided to stay at his house for the night. I was about to tell him the truth about Alexander's appearance, but the night was so enjoyable that I didn't want to spoil it. So we went home and slept. Andros respected my wish to rest and didn't insist on love making. He even made me breakfast in the morning! He is so attentive and caring and all this time he never misses an opportunity to show me how much he loves me. He is so perfect that I can already imagine my life beside him.

My day was very tiring and demanding. My boss was so eager to close the deal with Alexander's company that as soon as I arrived he asked me to his office. He wanted to know everything about what I had discussed with Alexander yesterday. I told him that he had a few questions about the project which I happily answered. He asked me if he was satisfied and as soon as I confirmed it he let me go. That was easy! I thought to myself as I headed to my office. Today I had a lot to do.

The day passed quickly with me trying to catch up with everything. Marcus informed me that Alexander wanted another meeting with me but I wasn't willing to do it.

Alexander's pov:

As soon as Elektra left the room, I immediately mind linked Steve to look up everything about her: her house, friends, and habits. Our Goddess brought her to my path when I least expected it and I am not going to miss this opportunity again. I know now that letting her go a year ago was a big mistake I made. I let my ego get the best of me but I won't do the same mistake again. This time I will get my mate back no matter what.

Late at night, I got everything about Elektra from Steve. She lived in a luxury apartment in the center of the city. Apparently her job was paying well. The strangest thing was that she already had a romantic relationship. Her partner was a rogue! When I learnt about it I couldn't believe it! Elektra in love with a rogue! Did she know about him? And most importantly did she approve it?

I decided to ask for another meeting with Elektra but my wings were cut off as soon as Marcus told me that Elektra was on a business trip. I knew she was probably avoiding me and I couldn't deny that it hurt me....a lot. As it was impossible to meet with her at work, I decided to visit her in her house early in the morning. I knew she was alone. The rogue was at his home. Steve has already checked for me.

It was seven in the morning when I rang her bell. I waited for a few minutes until a sleepy Elektra opened the door. Oh my Goddess! She was so simple but yet so beautiful! I stayed there looking at her completely mesmerized.

-"Good morning" I told her with a wide smile.

-"You!!? What are you doing here?How did you find my address?" she asked with a hoarse but very sexy voice.

-"I came to see you" I said incredulously and entered inside.

-"Have you completely lost your mind? Who do you think you are?" she said following me behind.

-"Last time I've checked, your mate" I said incredulously.

-"We live apart for more than a year...." she reasoned.

-"You've chosen this!" I contradicted in a calm way.

-"As far as I am concerned you didn't bring any objections at the time" she said in a flat tone.
