It was never supposed to be this way.
Where did it go wrong?
It was suppose to be her eyes of seas and ocean while she had the red tint of lava on her lips; marble carved cheekbones and fluttery eyelashes. It was suppose to be carefree smiles and rose bud cheeks and star struck eyes with just a heart felt laugh to match and it was suppose suppose supposed –
Wrong in ways she could never count.

She could never really quite meet their eyes after that.
Eyes of sunken dreams and hopes staring mindlessly into the concerned gazes of her Mother, and as much as she detested to admit, she could always make out the glimmers of disgust that shone through the very eyes she inherited.
Sighs of forlorn hopes slipping past chapped lips, pursed at the very sight of her. It wasn't usual to see such stiffness in her Father's eyes, but then again, it wasn't usual for her to be thinking about what sunshine would feel like on the right side of her face.
It was an accident, they said.
You're still beautiful, they cooed.

Time is spilling onto ironed dress shirts and cherry stained lips, but all Belle could really get was a room bathed in black and dimmed with candles; arched with the most beautiful paintings, but chipped with lonely edges and painful memories.
