When you work undercover for so long, you almost forget what you're supposed to be doing. As a guardian angel, Person A was very much in character with their charge, pretending to be thier best friend for at least two years. Reporting in every solstice. But their charge has seemed to make a new friend, Person B. They might not have noticed the obvious horns on their head, but A sure did. B was working on collecting a new recruit of Hell, and so the competition of who would be the Bestest Friend™ had begun. As the months went by, A and B started to just subconsciously hang around each other more. Without their charge. Whether it was just walking around the mortal world or going into shops and trying to out-gift one another, neither of them realized they were slowly falling in love.
