A/N: Hi guys! I've been receiving quite a number of requests lately for me to update THE BEAUTY & THE POSSESSIVE Series 1. As much as i want to update it, i really don't have enough time to write for now but at the same time, i am not in the mood to write an update also because i feel like there aren't that many readers who are interested in reading it. Can you tell me who among you guys who're still interested on reading it because i am thinking of unpublishing it for now and start my new story.

IT WAS already late when Gaelle arrived home because she ate dinner together with her cousins and grandparents at her grandparents' house before she went home. Enricko and Gia were insisting for them to have a night out together but their grandparents didn't allow them to go. They heard what they were talking about because of the loud voice of her cousin, Enricko. Because of that, their mamie decided to be a killjoy and told them to just go home instead of going anywhere else.

"Hello, sweetie. I'm glad you're finally home. Have you had dinner?" her mommy asked when she saw her entering the house. Until now, she's still feeling awkward and couldn't even call her 'mommy' even if she wanted to. She's not that comfortable enough yet.

"Yes. I already had it before coming home. I'm sorry that I came home late" her mother smiled.

"It's okay, anak. We already ate dinner a while ago. Your siblings are already upstairs. I'm still here because I'm waiting for you" she felt guilty because of what she said. She bit her lower lip.

"You shouldn't've waited for me and just retired for the night. I know you're tired from work"

"Nonsense. I am not that exhausted because I went home earlier than usual. I just wanted to discuss about something with you" She looked at her mom curiously.

"About what?"

"Is it true that you're going home in three days? Is it not possible for you to extend your stay here?" she stared at her mother. She opened her mouth to say something but she couldn't form any sentence at all so she just bit her bottom lip again and averted her gaze. Her throat suddenly tightened.

"If it's possible, please stay a little bit longer. I'm not ready yet to get separated from you again. I just hope that you agree to this favor of mine, sweetheart" her mother held her hands and then stared into her eyes. Her expression was begging her and she even looked like she was about to cry too. Gaelle heaved a sigh.

"D-Don't you want it here? Don't you want to be with me and your siblings?" Gaelle closed her eyes for good three seconds. She didn't know how to answer. When she opened her eyes, she was shocked to see her already crying mother.

"Please, don't cry, m-mommy. For you, I'll extend for a month" she heard her gasped.

"Y-You finally called me mommy" she said with disbelief but happiness was still there too. She was undeniably surprised but when she managed to gather herself together, she embraced her tightly.

"At last, I finally heard that word from you. I thought, you would never call me 'mommy'" she rained kisses on her face. Gaelle chuckled. She thought that she wouldn't have enough guts to call her mother 'mommy' because she felt awkward saying it. But because she feels at ease whenever she's with her, everything became easier for her. At least, they took a step forward in their relationship as mother and daughter.

"I'm sorry if I'm having a little bit of a hard time getting used with our situation but rest assured, I'll do my best to fulfill the role of being your daughter" she smiled and then touched her cheek.

"Anak, you don't have to think about those things. Just be yourself. The important thing is we get to be with you even just for a little bit longer" She nodded her head.
