HAPPY WEEKEND EVERYONE!

HAPPINESS was evident on Kellan's face while playing with his son. Even Brett looked so happy and obviously having fun judging from his laughs and giggles while playing with Kellan. Kellan even bought toys just to make sure that Brett would enjoy his stay with them. The two were happily playing Brett's toys at the living room while Gaelle, Jillian and their mother were just sitting on the couch while watching the two bonding with one another.

Brett was already a naughty kid and she admires Kellan because he's so patient with his son. He always talks to Brett in a nice and calm way even though the kid was being naughty.

Gaelle felt happy seeing Kellan happy like that but she couldn't help but to hope that someday, everything would be alright so that when the time comes that she would finally give birth, there wouldn't be any problem anymore. She was really hoping that Kellan could fix his situation with Brett so that Beatrice would leave them alone already.

She could already tell that Kellan would be a kind and loving father and their child was so lucky because he's his/her father. Even though he was obviously tired of working the whole day, he was still trying his best to give his whole attention to Brett right now. He really loves him because even though he couldn't always be with his son, he was always thinking about Brett.

"Are you okay, anak?" Gaelle was pulled out of her reverie when she heard her mother's voice. The worry on her face for her was obvious. Gaelle smiled at her mother.

"I'm fine, mommy. Why do you ask?"

"Do you really think that I didn't notice that you that something was off between you and Kellan these past few days? I didn't say anything because I didn't want to meddle. You're both adults already and I know that you two can handle your problems. But then, I noticed that you've been awfully sad and quiet and now, I'm getting worried about you. Tell me honestly; is this about Beatrice and Brett?" Gaelle's smile disappeared.

She didn't think that her mother would notice that something was off with her. Even though she spends a lot of her time at the hospital than at home, she still managed to notice that something was off with her. Maybe that's just normal because a mother could feel everything that her child was feeling; if she was feeling happy or sad. When she didn't answer, her mother spoke again.

"Sweetheart, whatever you're feeling right now, you can tell me. I am your mother, after all. We got separated for a long time and I want to make up for the lost times. You can tell me anything. I'm here and will always be here for you. Always remember that" Gaelle bit her bottom lip and then nodded her head.

Different emotions rushed within her. She glanced at Kellan and Brett who were still having fun playing. Jillian went their and joined them that's why she and her mother left sitting on the couch alone.

"Truth to be told, I'm confused, mommy"

"Of what?" She took a deep breath and then continued.

"I know very well that Kellan loves me but why do I feel scared and paranoid? When he goes to Brett and Beatrice's place, I can't help but to feel anxious and restless. Is this normal? I don't know what I'd do anymore. I want to say that I am happy for Kellan because he could finally be with Brett. But It's so hard for me to think positively when all I could think about are those negative things that might happen if this set-up continues" her mother took her hand and held it.

"Anak, I thought you already accepted everything that happened before and forgave Kellan?"

"I already forgave him but it's still difficult to forget about the past especially that Beatrice is just nearby. I couldn't help but to be scared and think that he might leave me all of a sudden for them. He and Beatrice already has a son and Kellan loves Brett so much. I know that he would always choose his son whatever happens"
