She came back home from work. Being an architect, that too at a huge firm was tiresome but fruitful.
She was usually back from office at 7 and her husband at 8. She would impatiently wait for him to arrive .

Her favourite time of the day was when they would have their dinner together and talk about their day.

No actually scratch that, her favourite time of the day was when he would lightly peck on her forehead or her cheeks while she pretended to be asleep.

She knew that he didn't know that she knows he would kiss her on the cheeks or forehead whilst she pretended to be asleep.

But today she was not feeling well. Working full day in front of the computer had given her a severe back pain and headache. So she decided to skip the day and go home and sleep.

She got home, prepared him dinner and went to sleep in her office clothes.

She felt chaste kisses on the forehead and cheeks but still didn't open her eyes . She knew that he was there with her. But when her forehead suddenly lacked the contact of his lips, she opened her eyes and held his hands.

She liked, no she loved how her hands looked intervened in his. She liked touching him.

They stared into each others eyes and everything seemed completely oblivious to them.

Raw emotions of love and care were floating in their eyes but both feared what if they misconcluded it. What if what they saw in each others eyes was nothing just a mere infatuation . What if they would never reciprocate the feelings they had for each other.
      So many what ifs on their minds............
